As you all can see, there are four different versions of him, we have Markel as a baby, cub, teenager and adult.
Markel was born on a ship that was embarked for Rome, Italy. His mother died from illness shortly after he was born. Markel was living in Rome at a safe haven for animals rescued from Africa. As a baby, Markel was looked after by the humans and cared for. When he grew into a cub, Markel became friends with the other animals. He learned that the safe haven was also a circus that performed every week.
When he was a cub, Markel met a lion named Adair. Adair came from Africa at his mothers insistence because she was dying. Markel felt sorry for Adair and wanted to become his friend. Markel and Adair performed in the circus every week. The one routine Markel hated was he was stuffed into a circus ball, with his head popping out. He felt the inflated ball was uncomfortable around his neck and that he could barely move from inside it.
During special occasions, the animals would have parties. When attending. Markel had to wear a neck ruff, which he didn't like to wear.
Markel was rather happy as a cub, but became a little shy as a teenager. He became nervous when trying g to talk to lionesses. Markel became more confident as an adult. He met a gray female lion and they married.
Markel always remembered the good times, knowing he had a great life and loved every moment of it.
