It is really good advice only thing i'd add is start calling for help at the top of your lungs too.

That's usually weighed about on how likely you think it is that calling out would bring down help versus bringing down danger. In a case like this, where they're not yet under attack and have reason to believe an enemy might be in the area, calling out would be likely to bring an enemy down on them.

But once you're under actual attack that's a pretty good idea, especially since they specifically have backup out there.
