Though I originally drew this as a concept for a sculpture, it symbolizes something more important. Among my friends, it's no secret my distaste for the recent direction of the Sonic comic from Archie. That can be traced to the spoiled brat behavior of Ken Penders, the lack luster styling of Karl Bollers.
What pissed me off the most, and ultimately ended my reading them, was Ken Penders idiotic anti-gun comment in Ish#149. Completely disregard the fact that Sonic and friends not only used weapons such as pistols, brandishing them in several issues, but they actually took Bunnie's entire design and re-imagined it to center around her packing her own heat. (That Penders later had brushed out.) "Freedom Fighters DON'T use guns of any kind! Never Have! Never Will!"
Wow.... Really? Now that's a plot hole you can drive the Death Egg trough...
Where as I apologize to Mr. Flynn for falsely accrediting this atrocity to him, Bunnie would still like to weigh in herself, as she has two points of view on Pender's idiotic political views. Up yours.
I would also like to take this opportunity to apologize to Mr. Flynn, who I personally knew at one time, for allowing myself to get caught up in the hype. I guess it can happen to the best of us. From what I can see, his direction is breathing new life into the comic, and for that I thank you Sir. Penders left the comic a shambles and you have a monumental task in cleaning it up, and one less critic to hinder you.
