Because spiders are cute and make great stuffed toys. *Squeezes his fluffy spider with love* They make cool webs and they're so fuzzy! I bet I'd love to meet a giant spider :D Wouldn't you?
Cute Dante being less afraid of spiders when they're plushies verses actual giant spiders. It is created by senacchi who is running this as an adorbs YCH :D
I love spiders, reminds me of a D&D game where I was playing a druid that found most animals cute. We got to a point where we needed flight to get somewhere. My character decided to summon what he thought would be the best option: 2 Giant flying spiders. Aka 2 spiders bigger than bears with wings.
I mean, they can fly, they can land on any surfaces, even walls and they are fluffy. They can even shoot webs if we get attacked. I really don't understand why everyone complained.

On one hand I agree, fluffy spiders are cute, everything from the way they walk to those little eyes is adorable. On the other hand, I'm still trying to get over my fear of them. Small ones are fine but the big ones are still a problem for me.
I blame my dad honestly. When we where in Kenya, I found this spider on the back of a chair. As cute as it is, I was creeped out by it back then. My dad, being the "hero" that he is grabbed me by the shoulder and made me go towards it, saying stuff like "It's more afraid of you than you are of it" and "Look, it's backing off already". Turns out it wasn't "backing off", it was preparing a jump. And that spider jumped at me landing on my shirt. I keep bugging my dad about it to this day, in retrospect, it's hilarious but it really scared the crap out of me back then.

Oh no!!!! XD They aren't that bad! I promise! I'd be scared of that, too. Last time I saw a tarantula around here, I gave it a poke and it got all defensive like, "Respect the fuzz, dude! I gonna bite you, you do that again!" Then it walked off in a huff. I also poked a big old orb weaver that built this huge spiral nest a yard wide. The spider was an inch to two inches big bug when you gave it a poke it buzzed like a vibrator. I think I broke the spider O_O.

I admire that. I wish I could be that comfortable around spiders but the moment the spider is large enough to be in the "potential danger" range. I just stay clear of it. The other animal that causes issues for me is Horses. I love horses, and I've got a friend to rides them for a living but I can't feel at ease while close to one. I can't get a good read on their intentions and if that huge truck of pure mussels wants to pay me a trip to the hospital, there's not much I can do about it. (Also had an "interesting" story with horses when I was young. And yes, my dad was the one that insisted we went for it).
So yea, both Horses and large spiders, I like the look and I know they are harmless but the fact that I can't read their emotions and that they can just send me to the Hospital on a whim means I can't feel relaxed around them.
And that's coming from someone that swam with blue sharks, Hammerheads and Manta rays with no issues. Brain can be weird sometimes.
