Oh my! Another commission from the lovely wonderful Skythe to make a continuation of this story also featuring a character from Spectronic. I actually finished this last night but ran out of time to upload so I am uploading it today. I tried to make it seem like it was night time which was kind of difficult for this piece but I got there. If you like this story stick around. There may or may not be more x3 (I really don't know where this story is going).
Well ... I guess it's story time? :D
The two were at the barn continuing their chores just thinking.
<"So what do you think?"> Caelum asks Liandra, who was still angry at the situation the two were in. <"I want to put him out of his misery."> Liandra grumbles and Cae retaliates <"Well if the master's top prized slave were to end up dead soon after we got caught that would definitely look bad on us..."> The winter wolf keidran didn't like it, but Caelum had a good point. But just then, she had an idea, <"I've got it!"> She exclaimed. Caelum's ears were perked up, listening.
<"Okay, so he's a real suck-up to the master right?"> She starts, Cae gives a confused, <"Yeah, and?"> <"What if we ruin his reputation?"> Cae sat up on his cott. <"I like where you're going with this."> He tells her. Both of them having devious smiles as they formulate a plan to poison the master. So the two slept it over for the night.
The next morning, during breakfast Liandra, being the more sneaky of the two, manages to find ways to get out into the forest to get some herbs that humans couldn't ingest. Caelum was doing his chores alone to stall for Liandra to get back. Thankfully she did right before the guards did their patrol around the area. Next, Caelum had to find a way to put the powder somewhere safe so the two wouldn't get caught. So he hid it under one of his shackles until the time was right.
It took 2 weeks for the ball to get rolling. Any time the snitch was around Liandra, Caelum had to calm her down, <"Remember the plan. You'll get revenge soon enough. Take this."> He assures her and gives her the bag of herbs she harvested. She calms down. <"Okay."> She replies not before giving the snitch a dirty look. He didn't notice. Sometime in the evening they managed to find their way into the master's house While Caelum was out on watch outside deweeding the master's garden with a hoe, Liandra snuck in through one of the windows. Managing to find her way into the kitchen, She could see a teapot burning. She knew that the master always has evening tea with his prized slave. Luckily the two cups were already laid out. There were two cups next to the teapot what was already off the burner meaning it was ready; she instantly got to work.
Master's cup was significantly fancier than the snitches, at first she thought of just poisoning that 'rat''s drink. However, she needed to stick to the plan. She put the powder in the master's drink and stirred it a bit to make sure it was disolved. Footsteps coming down the stairs could be heard. 'SHIT, gotta get out of here!' She thinks and quickly sneaks out the window in the kitchen.
<"Did you do it?"> <"Yes."> The two had devious smiles on their faces, <"Let's go the-"> <"No. I want to see what happens. Follow me."> 'I have a bad feeling about this' Caelum thinks but follows suit.
The two head to the back of the house where they have the drink. By now it was dusk and the only light sources availiable were the moonlight, and a lantern coming from inside. The two wait for what seems like forever until they can hear some stumbling. And the sound of someone spitting out fluid.
"What the hell!? You..." The master yells out and backhands the snitch. "OW! What ... what did I do?" The slave replies, which makes the human laugh, "Oh you don't know? That tea you gave me was practically poisoned!" He yells at the slave, holding the lantern up. "I..I did not, I'm uh I'm sorry" Said the slave, he didn't know what to say. "Do not talk back, now get out of my sight, NOW!"
And with that, the keidran put his ears and head down and hurried away with his tail between his legs. Outside, the two were fist bumping as their plan went off without a hitch.
(TwoKinds is a comic written and drawn by author and creator Tom Fishbach. I in anyway do not own the comic at all or any of the cannon characters in the comic. This is just a piece showing appreciation to the TwoKinds franchise. Thank you for understanding.) __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Artist:
