I'm so glad I finally guessed it! I kept thinking, somehow, that the squares were ice cubes, until I looked at your second picture. Even though I saw sea salt as one of the ingredients, my brain was like "No, it couldn't be. That's too easy... It MUST be a red herring!" I should've known and guessed on the yellow aspect of the boba as well!
