Learn Te Reo Maori (The Maori language, or the spoken Maori if I recall the translations correctly). I have lots of respect for them, but I failed to learn much back in school days even though it was part of New Zealand education when I was younger. I know you'll enjoy learning of their culture and legends, oh the legends are so amazing!

Legends, yes. But honestly I suck at linguistics. Failed Spansih three different times. I doubt I'll do better with things that have no connection to English. since Spanish is one of those 'painfully close' ones
