One of my one-shot characters. Unfortunately, she quickly perished due to bad choices being made... specificallyl, I picked a sentient evil sword and the DM had planned to have us fight in a no-kill tournament against Dragons... Yeah, that didn't go well. XD You can find the one-shot here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0C32Y-Ot_28
She's a gnoll Ronin. Since hyena are matriarchical, I imagine that in their society all samurai had to be female rather than male. However, due to tragic reasons, she was disgraced and had to kill her own clan with the evil sword she had acquired. Eventually, she joined the Yakuza as a bodyguard and enforcer and quickly rose in rank.
The sword she's wielding is a eastern style Hazirawn. Hazirawn has never really gotten definitive artwork, but it's description is as such: "Hazirawn was a dark-colored blade of Netherese design. It sported a curling guard and a pommel embedded with a purple gem."
I decided to interpret this with a katzbalger guard as it resembles both a tsuba and a "curling guard" of sorts. The pommel was inspired by common east-asian depictions of easter Dragons holding pearls of power.
The colour of the armour is based on the Bull daimyĆ Masanori Fukushima.
P.S.: Yes, she's wielding the sword on the peace side... for two reasons: because she's left-handed and more importantly, to spite other samurai and the way of bushido. Though it can be advantageous during negotiations since she's usually the first to draw her sword when things go... wrong.
In retrospect, I should have scaled the sword to be an Odachi, not a Katana... but hindsight is 20/20
