When I was young, my mother would tell me to always put on a smiley face.
She never told me to "smile or die" directly, but when I showed sadness, I tell you, she would not leave me alone.
It just goes to show that suppressed feelings start at a young age. If more people could express themselves properly and healthily, the subject matter of my next post would not have to happen so often...
