Special Abilities: The ability to focus shock waves (through either the air or a solid object) into a destructive beam and detonate it at its target. They can interface with most electronic devices by touching a metal surface or data cord. Minor psychic abilities. They broadcast a structural integrity force field for a short distance around themselves.
Source of special abilities: Full body interface with embedded nanotech bionics. (Nanotechnology Cyborg, or “Nanoborg”) Genetic engineering.

Profile:
   The Doberonen are the most recent of the Alpha-II races to appear on the scene, appearing only a little over a century ago. They came as a rather nasty surprise to the Grularen at the Battle of Etran Lake, where they earned their reputation for courage and toughness.
   After the war (one of many between the Grular and Canin nations over the past 22,000 standard years), they were accepted into Canin society with astonishing rapidity. One reason possibly being their
surprising flair for the fine arts. Some of the most beautiful poetry, paintings, sculptures, and music in Canin culture have been created by these “walking tanks” as they have been called.
   Blessed with such immense strength, one must wonder why they haven't just taken over. One answer is they have mind-controlling programs running underneath their core personalities. Fortunately, they are normally brought up to respect their fellow beings and the law, so these are rarely needed. However, should the need ever arise, those in authority must psionically transmit the individual's access code and the appropriate command.
   While they are arguably the strongest and toughest mortal beings in known space, they are not invulnerable. Among their vulnerabilities are: Gauss Projectors (not to be confused with the large-caliber railguns known as Gauss Cannons), EMP Projectors, “Electric Blasters”,Magic, and Fire. (Note,fire attacks are considered the least effective due to their sheer size and cyborg natures. Combatants initiating fire attacks have found themselves caught in their own weapon's grasp as their intended victims easily last long enough to catch them in a fiery embrace.
