So I can post this now, right? Or is Bat-Man considered to be more bat than man anyhow and thus not in violation of the old rules either? And how did I get away with this for five months?
The person who requested this (rather a few years ago, I should say) is not fond of Superman. However, I find some of her preferable characters highly questionable!
A thing much like the archery picture in that I spent a great deal of effort on it which is not at all evident and features a minimum of silly imps (the minimum is ONE). And hey, these colors again.
I'm not entirely sure how the Bat-Man beat the Super-Man here, but it also seems possible to me that Superman merely gave up to protect himself from further bowtie related abuse.
I do too! Primarily so that I can know that monster is coming and thus make myself quite hidden.
Re: plans, The Rainbow Batman story comes to my mind, and I'll not link to a picture of the cover because in all probability you've seen it a few times without even trying. Having now viewed the actual story I can assure you the explanation is every bit as anticlimactic and illogical as a good silver-painted-plastic age comic book doesn't make the slightest effort to justify.

I should be more clear; I already had this printed at poster size (I do not recall the exact dimensions) where my normal prints were made but I was not present when the thing was unrolled! I didn't even want to look at the visible rolled portion before I completed the delivery because I was so certain I'd notice an unforgivable mistake at such large size.

Your friend's opinion notwithstanding, DC does seem to have made BatMan a jealous rival to Superman, even a foe. Their first postcrisis meeting (Man of Steel #2) had Superman reluctantly working with BatMan to stop Magpie. DC also made Superman and Capt.Marvel rivals & foes.
Eventually SuperMan entrusted BatMan with the only piece of kryptonite known to have reached Earth. (unlike preCrisis stories where kryptonite lay everywhere.). To be used if Superman went rogue.
