In Altered Patricia was more involved with Sir Charles and his family.
When the incident with the robotizer and his brother Jules happened he didn't keep it from Pat he told her and she was there for him and he went to live with her and the boys.
During a visit Bernie had begged Patricia to go and look at the robotizer, (since she was considered pretty smart next to Charles in their class) maybe with a different person's view of it something could be done to fix Jules. Pat agreed but didn't tell Chuck she going to, because she didn't want to worry him.
Bernie had agreed to watch the boys as she went to go look at the machine but before leaving she said her goodbyes to her boys and Geoffrey having a hard time letting her leave in fear that if she left she won't come back like his father. Pat promised she'd be back.
Once at the robotizer, Pat didn't notice anyone in the lab, she got to work on examining the machine Charles had worked so hard on and the thing that brought him down. But as she looked at it she couldn't see much without the blueprints so she went to find them on the computer most of the files were locked except for one. One that showed the horried plans that then known Overlander known as Julian had, before she could tell anyone she was caught and became another horrid secret that Robotnik had kept till his rise.
