The Beholder's essence. Implanted into our heroes, and mixed with the Slime King's Curse, created a reaction that cast the Beholder back to which he came. The unlikely duo had delivered the exact thing the world needed to prevent utter destruction.
As for the Slime King's Curse, the reason for our duo's who adventure and its perversion, finally removed as the two hold their newly spawned slimekin, born of the essence of their adventure.
