I'm watching Inuyasha for the first time with my gf & roommate!! it's really fun! I have never known much about it and never bothered to learn more -- but actually, i had no idea how much it was totally 'my thing'! a wonderful surprise. i like the style a lot also, the anime has a charming 90s flavor to it. Love the fluffy bangs.

predictably!! i'm thinking of feral AUs and age gap AUs...

for the feral inuyashas, there's not really a full thought, it's like umm... the pure fun of just an anime dog with hair. If i was thinking of him as an actual yokai, i'd want to think harder about how his dad & sesshomaru look, since the yokai designs are more than "just a dog" >w>;

Anyways, separately, the little boy AU has more to it. Avvy has suggested to me the AU w young inuyasha involve the well being effected by magic/yokai of the week, which i hadn't considered before! but I like the thought of Kagome simply being locked into a period of time further in the past, and meeting a more vulnerable open Inuyasha.. maybe freshly orphaned, who knows. I like this scenario because Kagome would have the background of knowing, and becoming close with him in their current timeline, and now has to see his past for herself.

Also... she could experience that emotion of seeing someone you love as a kid and feeling like "Q_Q oh my god T-T he's so small and precious ;~;" I also like that she would be plucked from whatever high octane drama of the main plot, and now be here with no jewel, no kikyo, no naraku. No sesshomaru and sword fights. it's just inuyasha being picked on by the village people and needing her comfort.a refreshing change of pace. it's... nice.

actually.. it's.. great? Well, isn't it nice to feel as though she is taking more direct action with helping Inuyasha's complexes?? As a pretty, magical seeming human girl who has come to accept him, unlike the others. For Kagome, it's also refreshing to not have to be constantly reminding herself that Inuyasha loves Kikyo. This is a time before her; she doesn't have to check in with herself whether this is an extension of him loving Kikyo, and how that makes her feel. no... it can be as simple as, he meets her and he likes her-!

(any flustered behavior, blushing and looking away, can be enjoyed as entirely for her-!!)

They spend a lot of time together.. He's still Inuyasha, so he's flighty, a bit bratty, stubborn, but it's fun. There's less layers to peel apart here. He can let himself take her hand, and follow her everywhere, like a lil duckling.

Eventually she could take him to visit here time, as thy sometimes do, maybe after he is feeling very lonely from her being away for a weekend. Like, he get's so sad and certain that she is gone forever, even though she said she'd come back, so he sulks... and tear up when she returns. So she's like omg, it's okay, here just come with me next time....

nd so, she can introduce Iittle Inuyasha to her modern house, and he can stay in her room while she's at school... comforted by her scent. Fall asleep in an old laundry hamper. and enjoy being given little treats (i love how when kagome visits, she brings modern food, it's rly cute) Learn what... a bathroom is. a terlet. and so on [blah blah blah, AU chicanery]

Eventually, when Kagome must returns back to the normal point in time, you could easily say Inuyasha's memories are (mostly) wiped; time fixing itself to not have any wild inconsistencies. but maybe there's a little something in Inuyasha's hindbrain that sorta feels.. something.. some emotion. maybe he unconsciously trails behind kagome more, or holds her hand without thinking... and at times he could be going through a motion and then -mentally age regresses- ... lol.

oh.. also there are pokemon doodles in the 2nd page; just practicing fennekin and zorua
