aww, this is really nice ^^ secluded, cosy, intimate. stunning water effect too. and the soft blossoms. this should be in a proper art gallery somewhere, you've got a gift ^^

I really like doing backgrounds for that reason, and it makes the characters really pop when put into a setting/situation :)

Using as many references as you can get your hands on helps a ton. Also studying people and objects when out helps since you see them in different actions/scenes/lighting :)
