After drawing Xennah's new reference, I thought I would continue and redraw Nyxie's too :3

Family: Ratchet (father), Xennah Verzari (mother) and Kaden/Grimroth (grandfathers)
Story: Born in the very same garage that Ratchet first discovered his love for mechanics, Nyxon Kaden Verzari was welcomed into the world within the arid sands of Planet Veldin. Even as a child, Nyxie had an insatiable curiosity and a restless energy, always eager to venture beyond the home of his parents. His fascination with the universe stemmed from stories of his father’s heroic exploits, and he often found himself mimicking Ratchet’s moves with a wrench of his own.
As he grew, his admiration for his father deepened into an unwavering desire to follow in his footsteps. He would eagerly sit through Galactic Ranger broadcasts, dreaming of the day he’d wear his own ranger armor.
During his teenage years, he trained rigorously—his determination fueled by a need to prove himself, not just to others, but to himself. His defining moment came when he courageously rescued a stranded child from an out-of-control warbot, earning him recognition that rivalled even Ratchet’s fame. While the title of "hero" was exhilarating, Nyxon struggled internally with the pressures that came with it. He wanted to be seen for more than his bravery—he wanted to be understood.
Personality:
Nyxon possesses a quiet intensity, preferring observation over unnecessary chatter. He is kind-hearted, deeply empathetic, and values sincerity above all else. Though reserved in social settings, he was quite the attention-seeker in childhood—especially when around his parents, craving their approval and affection. Over time, he learned to temper his enthusiasm, becoming more introspective and deliberate in his words and actions.
Despite his gentle nature, Nyxon is incredibly brave in combat situations, showing sharp instincts and strategic thinking much like his father. However, his sensitivity means he takes criticism deeply to heart, sometimes overanalyzing his actions long after the moment has passed. He wrestles with the fear of being shunned or unworthy, and though he doesn't openly admit it, he has moments of self-doubt that only those closest to him truly understand.

Strengths: Skilled in close-range combat, agile and precise with physical strikes; exceptional at reading opponents’ movements
Weaknesses: Easily startled by sudden loud noises, forcing him to recalibrate mid-battle; struggles with internalizing harsh criticism

Phonophobia: His fear of fireworks stems from childhood—one particularly loud explosion sent him hiding under a table for hours. He has since attempted to overcome it but still flinches at unexpected blasts.

Secret Fact about Nyxon: He has always been overly affectionate with his father, due to his sensitive nature. Ever since he was a baby, Nyxon still snuggles up to Ratchet and goes to him for comfort whenever he's upset, despite being a teenager (but he doesn't show this in public because it's 'not cool' to do that!)
Dislikes:
Qwark, due to his recklessness and lack of sincerity
Nefarious, for obvious reasons—he despises the villain’s arrogance and cruelty
Dishonesty and manipulation; Nyxon values trust above all else and struggles to forgive betrayal
Overly loud environments, which trigger his discomfort with sudden noises, due to his overly sensitive ears
