Man I should really get into investing, but I'm so risk-averse. Terrified of losing money, even though in the long run things usually go up.

Don't unless you have money to lose. The stock market is gambling except less fun.

Thats... ok actually your not to far off with this....

while I wouldn't call it gamboling there's still a great deal of Risk involved. Especially if you don't have a good grasp of stock market trends and the fundamentals of trading. there are collage courses JUST for this so it's not easy.

It's less stacked against you then A Casino, and it has a lot less glitz and glam associated with it so it's less FUN to try and end up loseing anyway, but your 100% right, you should NEVER invest more money then you are willing to lose.

Smart or lucky investments will yield good returns but there's always some element of chance and the larger the return on the investment is projected to be the largly the volitility of that investment.

the ones I get MAD at are the hedgefunds wich openly game the system XD you wanna talk about fucking over a capitalism but really it's dick weeds like the Hedgies that are a real problem, Im on board with that 100%

NASDAQ is one of the "safe bets". If it's crashing, very big things are happening.

well as "Safe" as anything in the market is XD but yeah it doesnt useualy fluctuate TO much to fast so you mgiht lose money some days or get it back on others.

Typical investor behavior. When the line goes up, the world is their oyster, but when the line goes down, life is not worth living.
