Those white dots on the eyes are both pupils. They've only got one fovea, but two places for light to enter. It allows for increased peripheral vision capabilities. Or something. Also, while they don't have vocal chords, they are able to produce a deep purring-like sound. Thirdly, those glowing tips coming off their ears work like antennae and allows them to focus their psychic-communication abilities.

Kyte - The Pocket Jerboa (They mostly eat rocks/gems and plants. A specific mineral they ingest allows them to produce a flame at a short distance. A different mineral is used for their fur growth, and allows them to be fire resistant to an extent. However, this also means they are susceptible to water ruining their fur by it sticking to their fur and causing risks for fungal and mold type infections.)
