Amy Rose is traveling to Never Lake to see Little Planet.  Once a year, the planetoid appears over the lake for a whole month.  It’s said that the world of this miracle planet is a beautiful, grassy utopia.

However, that’s only half the reason why Amy has traveled so far.  She had her fortune told by her tarot cards.  And her fortune read that she was destined to meet with Sonic the Hedgehog at Never Lake.

Excited about this, Amy chose to seek out her destiny and meet Sonic.

However, by the time she arrives, she in disbelief by what she sees.  Little Planet has been turned into a mechanical wasteland, chained to a mountain with Dr. Eggman’s face sculpted into it.

With barely any time to process, Amy is kidnapped by a robot resembling Sonic and brought to Little Planet.

--

On Little Planet, Metal Sonic is flying through Palmtree Panic as he searches the area.  With his target now lost, he returns to his subroutines.

Amy watches as Metal Sonic leaves before coming out of her hiding spot.  With her freedom, she decides to enjoy the sights of Palmtree Panic.

She avoids being jabbed by the Needlenose Badniks as they dart downward at her.  Upon hitting the ground, they are stuck and rendered helpless.

Taking advantage of this, Amy summons her Piko Piko Hammer and destroys the Badniks, releasing small glowing stars from their bodies.  Once these stars hit the ground, they instantly bloom into full grown flowers.

--

Sometime later, Amy sees Sonic heading for her direction.  And it was love at first sight as she sees him running, free as the wind.

Amy greets Sonic with a hug.  However, her friendly greeting only startles him, and he jumps free of her embrace.  He then questions who she is.

Amy introduces herself and explains that she was kidnapped by a robot resembling him.  Sonic realizes that this is the same robot he saw from a projector.  He then tells Amy to stay hidden until he comes back for her.

However, as Sonic runs off, Amy chases after him, knowing that she’d be safer with him around.

--

By the time Amy reaches Relic Ruins, she had lost track of Sonic.  And without him around, trouble found her.

Amy is running for her life from Metal Sonic.  However, she isn’t completely helpless as she manages to knock him back with her hammer.  Although, it doesn’t take long for the robot to recover.

After managing to hide from Metal Sonic again, Amy continues to search for Sonic.  Along the way, she comes across Badniks that can borrow underground.  The Burrobots try to surprise attack her by drilling from below her feet.  And the Antlions dig pits that she can slip into.  However, Amy smashes the robots as soon as they’re within reach.

Amy also comes across Dr. Eggman alongside Metal Sonic Projectors and robot transporters.  Taking matters into her own hands, she decides to smash the machines before he can send them into the past.

This causes the doctor to chase Amy in his Egg Mobile, which he has turned into some sort of motorbike.

Dr. Eggman grins and laughs as he tries to run over Amy.  However, in his hubris, he gets a flat tire and is sent flying out of his vehicle and tumbling on the ground.

The doctor is seeing stars as he rubs his head.  However, he snaps out of it just in time to see Amy about to swing her hammer down.  He manages to avoid getting his head smashed and flees via jetpack.

Angered that he was outsmarted by this newcomer, the doctor contacts Metal Sonic and tells him that capturing the pink hedgehog is now his top priority.

--

In Collision Chaos, Amy comes across Robot Mantises, who fling their blades at her.  However, she simply ducks out of the way.  Now unarmed, the Badniks are destroyed with ease by Amy.

Soon enough, Sonic arrives and is surprised to see Amy.  He questions why she’s here, reminding her that he told her to stay hidden.  Amy answers that both Dr. Eggman and Metal Sonic are after her.

Sonic questions why the doctor is targeting her.  And she answers that she became a target when she started destroying his Badniks and other machines.

Sonic realizes that Amy can take care of herself.  He hadn’t considered taking on a sidekick, but now he thinks that it’s best that they stick together.  Upon hearing this, Amy is overjoyed.

However, the moment is interrupted by Metal Sonic, who breaks down a barrier of spikes and nabs Amy.  As Metal Sonic flies away with her, Sonic gives chase…

--

Once Metal Sonic reaches Tidal Tempest, Amy manages to break free of his grasp.  However, the robot continues to pursue the pink hedgehog.

Amy tries to fight back, but she realizes how futile it is once Metal Sonic knocks the Rings out of her.  Although, she does manage to damage him enough for an escape, by diving underwater.

Metal Sonic prepares to jump in after her, but notices an electric buzzing coming from his injury.  Realizing that he is no longer waterproof, he glares at the water.

Amy travels underwater as she uses air bubbles to breath.  And she destroys any Badniks that she comes across.

--

In Quartz Quadrant, Amy easily destroys a Sasori Badnik with her hammer.

Now that she’s alone, Amy takes a moment to relax and admire the quartz crystals in the mines.  However, she begins to grow lonely and realizes that she must fend for herself.  She then shakes her head to mentally rid herself of her loneliness.

Amy tries to calm her nerves as she starts eating berries that grew from the palm trees of Palmtree Panic.  She notes to herself that the berries are sweet.  However, her loneliness doesn’t completely fade away as she wonders when she’ll see Sonic again.

She then notices Metal Sonic’s reflection in the crystals.  All around her was the robot glaring at her from the reflections, like a house of mirrors.

However, as Metal Sonic charges a beam from its chest, Amy instinctively looks towards the source of the sound.

Metal Sonic fires its chest beam, but Amy manages to duck in time.  The beam ricochets off the crystals and hits Metal Sonic.  And while he’s injured, Amy makes a run for it.

--

By the time they reach Wacky Workbench, Metal Sonic has caught up with Amy.

Amy tries, but fails to shake off Metal Sonic by bouncing off the checkered floors when they light up.  Although, she does successfully give him the slip when he flies under a snowblower, which freezes him.

--

In Stardust Speedway, Dr. Eggman has finished armoring his Egg Mobile with a laser.  The doctor takes a moment to admire his work.  And he states that the laser is powerful enough to annihilate Sonic in one hit, even if he has Rings.

However, Dr. Eggman is surprised by the arrival of Amy as she starts whacking the machine with her hammer.  Annoyed by this, the doctor summons his Badniks.

A group of Hotaru Badniks appear and begin harassing Amy.  With the pink hedgehog distracted, Dr. Eggman boards his Egg Mobile and contacts Metal Sonic.

Amy manages to destroy the Badniks but flees as soon as she sees Metal Sonic approaching.  She runs down the highways of Stardust Speedway and even destroys a Capsule, releasing the Little Planet flowers inside.

However, Metal Sonic catches up to her and she is forced to fight him.  She manages to hold her own and even get a few good hits in.  But she is ultimately defeated.

--

Sometime later, Amy has been tied to a pole and struggles to break free.

Suddenly, Sonic rushes inside of the room where Amy is being held captive.  Once inside, the door shuts behind him, causing Metal Sonic to slam into it.  Upon impact, the robot doppelganger breaks apart and falls off the highway.

Shortly afterwards, Dr. Eggman arrives in his Egg Mobile.  However, his laser malfunctions and shuts down.  With his weapon out of commission and Metal Sonic out of reach, the doctor is forced to flee.

Sonic is hugged by Amy after freeing her.  At first, he expresses displeasure, but then realizes that she must have been scared all this time.  So, instead he comforts her.

Sonic tells Amy not to worry, he’s used to saving others.  Although, they’re usually small animals.

He then asks Amy if she would still like to join him.  And she joyfully accepts.

--

In Metallic Madness, Sonic and Amy are destroying Badniks.  They even time travel together to destroy robot transporters in the past.

Back in the present, Sonic gets hit by a red Size Beam.  The laser doesn’t hurt him, but he does shrink to a fraction of his normal size.  And upon seeing Sonic miniaturized, Amy can’t help but cuddle him affectionately.

Even at his small size, Sonic is still able to destroy Badniks and now he can fit in tight spaces.  Eventually, the effect wears off when Sonic is hit by a blue Size Beam.

Sonic and Amy eventually split up when they come across Dr. Eggman’s computer room.  Before Sonic rushes off, he tells Amy to destroy everything and come find him right afterwards.

--

Inside of the computer room, Amy finds scrapped plans for something called “Final Fever.”  There are also plans to build a space station called the “Death Egg.”

Looking further into this, Amy realizes that the design of the Death Egg is based off the mechanized Little Planet.  However, Amy is unamused to learn that Eggman’s face will be built into it.

She also finds Metal Sonic’s blueprints and the last of the Metal Sonic projectors, which she finds catharsis in destroying.

Upon leaving the room, explosions start going off and Metallic Madness begins falling apart.  However, Amy manages to reunite with Sonic just in time.

--

Amy covers her eyes as Sonic carries her out of the mechanized world that is crumbling around them.

Now outside of Little Planet, Sonic lands gently back on the earth around Never Lake.  He then places Amy on her feet and tells her that he’ll be right back before dashing away.

When Amy uncovers her eyes, Sonic is already gone.  However, she does witness the Eggman face sculped into the mountain explode.  And the large chains that anchored Little Planet to the mountain break apart.

Little Planet transforms into its original state, a grassy utopia.  It then shakes above Never Lake as small, glowing stars rain from the planetoid.  The stars eventually form Sonic’s head before spreading all around the lake.  And after apparently shaking itself empty, Little Planet ascends into the sky before vanishing with its last remaining stars.

Amy saw everything and she is still in awe as stars land all around her and bloom into Little Planet flowers.  She’s glad that Little Planet is free and wishes to visit it again, under better circumstances.

Sonic returns and checks up on Amy.  Overexcited, Amy tells Sonic that he is amazing.

In Amy’s own words, Little Planet was shaking like it was sprinkling stars onto the earth below.  The stars then formed a constellation of Sonic’s face before raining down like a meteor shower.  It was almost as if Little Planet itself was thanking Sonic for freeing it.

Sonic rubs his nose, stating that Amy is overthinking things.  Either way, she tells him that his constellation was more beautiful than Dr. Eggman’s mountain sculpture.

Amy then tells Sonic that she has something for him.  When he questions what she has, she surprises him with a kiss.

Sonic tries to hide his embarrassment as Amy grins at him.  He then changes the subject, stating that he never asked if she was an inhabitant of Little Planet.  She denies this and states that she just wanted to see the planetoid for herself and wanted to fulfill her destiny of meeting him.

Either way, it doesn't feel right for Sonic to leave Amy by herself.  Especially after he already put her in danger by doing so before.

Sonic sweeps Amy off her feet, surprising her.  And he simply smiles as he offers to take her home.  This leaves Amy completely flustered and she shyly accepts.

As Sonic runs through the field of Little Planet flowers, Amy enjoys the sights before turning to the blue hedgehog carrying her.  She's grateful to him and looks forward to going on more adventures with him.

This story is based on Sonic CD, but from Amy’s point of view.

I find the idea of Amy arriving on Little Planet on her own a bit farfetched.  So, I went with her being kidnapped and brought there instead.

There is a scrapped zone from the game that’s meant to take place between Palmtree Panic and Collision Chaos.  The game data labels it as “R2” and some fans have dubbed it Relic Ruins.  The only in-game appearance of this zone is in the outro of the game where Sonic is avoiding pits and fights an Antlion Badnik.  I decided to reuse this scrapped zone, as well the boss and Badniks.

For Amy’s final boss, she was originally going to fight a horde of mini Amy robots; the little robots from Sonic Mania's Gachapandora boss.  This was going to take place right after she destroyed the last of the Metal Sonic projectors.  Ultimately, I decided against adding them for simplicity’s sake.

I also have a head canon that Sonic took Amy home after Little Planet was freed.
