"Driders from the deepest parts of the jungle behave almost like the biggest predators around, the nagas, as they forego the smaller prey and usually hunt the biggest game they can find.
They ambush their prey with a devious trap (the bolder ones will directly jump even without them) and then they will inject their potent paralytic venom, and calmly cocoon them for later consumption. If hungry enough, the drider will proceed to pierce the cocoon right there and suck the victim dry slowly, and if the prey are unlucky enough they will be still alive to suffer it. Thankfully in most cases the victim expired long before the process begins. If the venom is strong enough they can be gone in a matter of minutes.
Lastly, the dried remains are not left to rot, and are instead sucked into the drider's abdomen for further processing into nutrients, while the discarded cocoon will be the one left for the plants or small animals daring enough to eat it. Depending on the drider the nutritional value will vary significantly, and even its edibility. Overall, they are perfectly adapted to their environment, and even occasional driders will be able to perform such hunts without much training."

Just a VERY experimental piece. I really don't like fatal vore when characters are involved, but wild/mindless animals are on the table as they always have been, just not as prepared as steaks with salt and pepper.
Thinking out loud about this piece, I tried to show no gore nor anything can can be seen beyond the strictly necessary, and thinking and drawing the different scenes and even perspectives has been a challenge.
I'm pretty satisfied with this piece, and I hope you guys like it 😊
