Oooh, a scene change! Faaancy! ^_^;; Yeah, pretty sure the pizza parlor sequence is the longest scene in this issue...
Okay, I just counted, and it is, but only by one page. So that's not too bad!
^_^;; I've actually been kinda waiting to get to the end of this scene (and not just because of the accidental two-month hiatus just now!), because with this scene change I can start offloading more of my production work to my iPad, which is waaay faster to complete than my previous pipeline doing the inks and colors in Illustrator. Yeah, more and more of this comic has been done on my iPad in the past year. It starts with backgrounds and it all flows from there! But I didn't want too much of a jarring visual change in the middle of the scene--I've done that before in other projects, but I want the issues for New Normal to feel of a piece, so I'm trying not to do as much experimentation on them as I have in my other comics, where I've jumped between media, color styles, all of it. ^_^;; Sticking to just one approach throughout the time it takes to produce an issue is a challenge for me, buuut I do like challenges!
^_^ Speaking of challenges and scene changes, I kiiiinda sold my house and moved across the country from Illinois to California in a month and a half WHOOPS. Yeah, I'm really proud of that, but it's been a ride with getting my realtor and addressing the concerns from the buyer's from the inspection, packing and paring down everything so that it could fit in my car, and driving the 32 hours cross-country with my cat! (and also the closing got pushed back from April 30 to May 7, rrrgh) ^_^ Extremely happy to be here now and pretty much settled in.
