With the Evisceroid Queen defeated and the remaining Hivebrooders cornered, the invading Evisceroid Hive that were consuming mobius. The combination of the 8 warring empires of War!Mobius was JUST enough to finally push back the invading alien bugs. The surviving Hivebrooders gathering on their remaining organic starships and leaving the planet for another to consume.
However in the center of the abandoned hive sat one, single, remaining cocooned Hivebrooder. The scientists of the Kingdom of Acorn acted quickly to capture this cocoon and take it deep, deep into isolation for study.
This cocoon eventually hatched into what referred to herself as "Ji'Reen". A freshly hatched, and unimprinted Evisceroid Hivebrooder. Astonishingly, from the moment she hatched she was fully capable of speech, altho it was simple speech as she didn't seem very intelligent. The was kept deep with a scientist facility, far, FAR from civilization. Under heavy security and secrecy. If she was ever able to escape she could form another have and could restart the whole Hive Wars ALL OVER AGAIN.
Unlike the rest of her kind, she did attack or even seem very ferocious. Initial thoughts were that she took the scientists around her as part of her hive. This notion was shattered appon asking about her chosen name. In her language Hivebrooders are named after the order they are hatched, "Kai'Reen" meaning "First daughter of the Hive of Reen" for example. The name "Ji'Reen" translated to "Last daughter of the Hive of Reen".
This alerted the scientist, it seems she was keenly aware of the fate of her kind and what she was. However, the question remains to why she wasn't as aggressive as her kind. The only explanation that could be come to is that without the psychic influence of the former Queen, she has to take her ques form those around her.
This however didn't stop her from having a monstrous sexual apatite, as it was her instinct to collect genetic material.
As the year grew long, the little bug grew more and more bored, and the limited 'genetic stock' she was being supplied enticed her less and less. More distressing, her curiosity of the outside world grew more and more. Her only idea what the outside world was like was from eavesdropping on the faculty of the facility. Almost like destiny, the facility was attacked by an enemy raid. The explosion almost destroying the facility entirely, at least the top level, leaving the surviving Hivebrooder to see the first ray of sunshine she had ever seen. Just like that, Ji'Reen dug into the exposed dirt and disappeared underground, using her strong digging arms for the first time.
After the raid, the facility was swept from top to bottom by the remaining scientist. Ji'Reen's body was not found anywhere and this sent the scientific community and government into red alert. She was free.
Ji'Reen spent her first year of freedom away from civilization, easily hunting and consuming wild animals and savoring meat for the first time and taking out her sexual needs on traveling adventures, explorers and any other mobian that she found far from civilization. As her very existence was a secret and people were still fresh from the last Evisceroid invasion, Ji'Reen became a sort of cryptic of the area she hunted in, since her hallucinogenic bite making encounters with her a trip and her being able burry and escape at blinding speed. Over all, she didn't mind living like this, far better than being experimented and observed at the facility and the genetic stock was FAR more.... delicious.
For the past years, Ji'Reen's life had not changed much, going from Hivebrooder stage to Hivebrooder stage, reaching her 3rd stage which vastly changed her appearance. Not only did it changed her appearance, but she grew more intelligent and coherent with each stage. The more she grew the closer she got to civilization, until eventual found herself in the middle of a town.
She was welcomed, everyone mistaking her for some kind of beetle, being far more intelligent and not wishing to be captured again, she ran with it. She made many friends in that town, and many... 'close friends'. But her time in that town, meeting friendly mobians was cut short, as her identity was discovered, even with the change in her appearance. A small platoon was brought in to attempt to capture her, but fearing being returned to the facility she dug deep into ground and disappeared. For years, this was the last time anyone has ever heard from her.
A lone Eviseroid was discovered, patrolling the base of a mountain, but it wasn't Ji'Reen, it was a standard solder-type known as a 'Slashling'. This confirmed all 8 empire's worst fear, the surviving Hivebrooder has escaped and has successfully grown into a queen somewhere underground. A new Evisceroid Hive has risen. It took no time at all for the major empire nearby to surround every major point around the mountain. There was not telling how large her hive has grown in the time she disappeared, but no changes were being taken.
Suddenly, the ground near the main military camp gave way, and Eviseroid solders pour out of the hole that was created. The military quickly mobilized and tensions were on edge, until a voice called from deep with the hole.
"STOP!"
With the assistance of her Drones, a familiar figure was risen to the General's camp. It was definitely her. She had grown very large, oddly no where near as large as the previous queen, in fact, she was a quarter the size. She didn't seem aggressive, she held her units back. If fact, her features looked soft and motherly, unlike the previous ferocious and tenacious queen, specially with the way she crossed her armed.
"I am the second Reen'Kuhalla of my strain, I wish to speak to your leader!"
Ji'Reen was no longer Ji'Reen at that point. Like she said, she was now Reen'Kuhalla, in her language, "The Hive Mother of the Hive of Reen", She meet with the leaders of the local empires surrounded by her largest standard soldiers, however, she only professed a message of peace. All she wanted was to be left alone in her hive and has no need for expansion. For this reason, she had only produced ONE Hivebrooder, and she only did so in case something happened to her. This is also the reason why her abdomen is so much smaller, as she no longer needed to produce MILLIONS of soldiers, only the thousand she has in her hive, the size of a medium town. She left her meeting in peace returning to her hive with the promise that so long as they don't attack the empire, they will be left alone in her mountain hive.
It's unknown what exactly caused such an aggressive species to change so much in one queen, but it seems that the sweetness and kindness that Ji'Reen experience in those years among the average mobian left an impression on her. Her hive even set up trade with the Kingdom of Acorn, as the sweet honey-esqe liquid that only Evisceroid can produce became highly coveted by mobians, and since they are no longer expanding, they have excess to trade for foodstuffs... or a 'personal audience with the queen'. <3
Furthermore, the mountain that they claimed as their hive was originally a BARREN wasteland, but now with the cultivation of the Evisceroids that live in the area, the mountain is now the greenest part of the continent, large flowers that they pollinate and vast forests covered the mountainside.
Her single Hivebrooder was starting to feel trapped in her own hive, and Kuhalla noticed this and permitted her to travel the world. Who knows...
...Maybe she'll find a Hive of her own to raise...
