Babysitting Part 4

"So, What happens now," asked Devon to his mother.
"I'm not sure," she answered. "Did the person who came and told you about the deaths say anything else?"
"Yeah, he said that he would come back tomorrow to talk," said Devon.
"Then we'll find out then, for now though, get some sleep, and I'll be back in the morning."
"Alright, here, is the spare key to the door," said Devon handing her a key. "I'll see you tomorrow."
They got up and hugged, as she gave him a kiss on the cheek. After she left, Devon went to check on Jess. He found her still sleeping on the bed, just as they left her. Thought of just leaving her there, but he felt that he should stay and be there to comfort her. So he, walked in a sat down on the bed next to her sleeping form.
"Let's get you in the bed," whispered Devon, as he carefully rolled Jess over on her back. Slowly and gently he removed her dress and her panties, leaving her naked. Somehow he managed to get her under the covers, without moving her too much or waking her up. He took her clothes and placed them in a hamper and he stripped down naked also, just leaving his clothes there in a neat pile next to the bed. He climbed in the bed and scooted over next to Jess.
He took her into his arms, "Everything will be okay," whispered Devon into Jess's ear. "I'll be here for you."
Devon smiled slightly as he felt Jess roll over facing him, and held him like he was a stuffed animal for protection.

In the morning, Devon was woken up by someone shaking him. He rolled over to find his mother standing next to bed, and she was holding up his boxers, and a 'what are you doing' look. He suddenly felt guilty and was about to say something, but his mother interrupted him.
"I want to talk to both of you," she said. She dropped the boxers on bed and she left the room. Devon feared what's going to happen, but he knew better than to make mom wait.
"Hey, come on," said Devon gently trying to wake up Jess. "Time to get up."
He got up and out of bed, getting a clean pair of boxers on. He got the rest of his clothes on while Jess was still in bed.
Devon got on his knees, and leaned on the bed, getting close to Jess, "Come on, Jess," Devon pleaded, his muzzle close to hers. She finally opened her eyes, and saw a smiling Devon next to her. She smiled back, "That's a girl, come on Jess," said Devon. "There's someone here to meet you."
He help her out of bed, she blushed when she noticed her nudity, but Devon didn't say anything, he just helped her get dressed. What he didn't know was that his mother was still outside the door, and even peeked in to see what he was doing. While she didn't like him being naked with a young girl, let alone she was also naked. She watched as he treated her like someone he cared for, like a younger sister. She made her way to the living room before they were completely done changing, she didn't want them to know of her peeping in on them. She waited for them for a few minutes, she looked over when she heard them walking in the room. What she saw made her felt happy, and very motherly, the way Devon was holding her hand, and leading Jess to the living room, they actually looked like they were brother and sister.
"Jess, this is my mother," said Devon. "She was the one who held you last night."
She didn't say anything, Jess let go of Devon's hand and she walked over to his mother and gave her a hug. It caught both of them off-guard, but mom embraced Jess and returned the hug.
"Thank you," said Jess, quietly.
"It's okay," said Devon's mother, stroking Jess's hair. "Everything will be okay."
Jess broke the hug, looked up at her, "Will you be my mom," she asked.
She looked down at Jess in surprise, definitely not expecting that. "I...I don't know," stammered mother.  "I might, but I don't know."
Devon went and sat down next to his mom, and took Jess into his arms. "Before she can decide that," started Devon. "We'll have to tell her what we did yesterday."
"Why," asked Jess, looking up at Devon.
"She needs to know," answered Devon. "And you should never keep secrets from mom."
"So what did you do yesterday," asked mother.
Devon took a deep breath to steady himself, but before he could answer Jess did, "He claimed me," she said.
"Devon, how could you do that to her," said his mother sternly.
"B...But I wanted him to do it," said Jess.
"It's true," said Devon. "She asked me, and I did it."
"Do you know what it means," asked mother.
"It means that he loves me lots," answered Jess. "That's what mom said to me."
"Yes, it does," said mother. "However, it also means that you two are, in essence, married, or at the very least, Devon is your guardian until you are older."
"Did I screw up," asked Devon.
"Not yet," answered his mother. "But you did make things complicated. We'll see when the officer comes back today."
"Now then," she said turning back to Jess. "My I see the marks?"
Jess nodded her head and let her look. She lifted up Jess's muzzle and started to brush through her fur to find the marks. Once she found the first one, she easily found the rest.
"Well, you did a good job," she said, brushed Jess's fur back into place and letting her go.
"Hehe, thanks...I guess," said an embarrassed Devon.
She placed a hand on Devon's cheek, "Listen," she started. "I'm a bit disappointed at what you did, but it seems like you two genuinely love each other. Something happened this weekend that made this so, but whatever happens, I'll be here to help both of you out. I still love you Devon."
Devon smiled gave her a hug, "Thanks mom," he said.

They got up and went into the kitchen, where Devin's mother went and made breakfast for everyone.  It was a short time after they were done, that knocking came from the front door.
"I'll get it," said Devon, as he left the kitchen. "It might be that officer from last night."
Devon checked and sure enough it was Officer Landis. Devon let him in," Welcome back," greeted Devon.
"Hello...Devon, was it," asked Landis.
"Yeah, Jess is in the kitchen," said Devon.
He lead Landis into the kitchen where they found Jess helping out Devon's mom cleaning the dishes.
"Excuse me, ma'am," said Landis, taking off his hat.
She and Jess both turned around, "Hello," she said, putting down the pot in her hand. "You must be the one who brought the news last night."
"Correct," said Landis. "Peacekeeper Officer Landis."
"I'm Devon's mother," she said. "Ashley Vermaat"
"I came back to discuss options about what could happen to Jess," said Landis, putting his hat on the table and sitting down.
"I think we've already came to something," said Ashley. "Though it might complicate things a bit."
"How so," asked Landis.
"I 'claimed' her yesterday morning," answered Devon.
"Hmm, interesting," said Landis. "And there are marks?"
"Yes," said Ashley. "I saw them this morning."
"Well then, Devon it seems that you  are her guardian until she is of age," said Landis. "Then you must have to be married, as this will go onto the record. We'll have to go to the town center and make it official, then have to have the bank transfer all holdings into your name. Then you'll have to figure out what are you going to do with here, either keep this place or sell it off."
"We'll figure that out," said Ashley. "Devon go with Landis and get those things changed, might as well do them now. Jess and I will talk about where home will be."
"Is that okay with you, Devon," asked Landis.
"Might as well," answered Devon.
"Then we'll be going," said Landis, getting up from his seat.
"We'll be back soon," said Devon, giving both Jess and his mom a kiss.

Devon and Landis left the house and went off to make the changes that Landis said that were needed.  A few hours later, they returned from their errands, Devon now the guardian of Jess and a in a few years husband to her. He felt strange at he did, but he knew that he did love her, and will make sure that things will be great moving forward.

End.

Looks like its a bad week to start writing again. Had to pry myself away from Diablo 3 to write this part.
(Five Points & a Cookie to whoever got reference to the first sentence.)

Score :)
I loved that movie. Was funny that we spent 2 two hours in computer class watching it.

A bit rushed at the end, but I understand you were playing Diablo. ;3

Still an awesome story. One of the better ones, though there were a good number of errors.

Yeah, the ending fell apart on me (like Blazing Saddles' ending). Though reason is <Spoiler Alert!> there is another part to the story. And I felt it would end up being too long if I combined them together.

Yeah, new accounts start off with the mature and adult ratings turned off. They don't say that and you have to figure that out on your own.

This is the wired ending that I ever read.
