Whatever it is you did, it worked a little too well. It seems like Flame underestimated you, or overestimated himself. Probably both.
As the world itself begins failing and glitching, Flame's sword bursts energy, and in his free hand a new weapon appears. You can tell that if you let him get close, it's game over. But that weapon seems a bit heavy and hard to reload, perhaps the best option is fighting him from a distance?
