So uh... I've had watercolour pencils for the longest time now, and I used to use them as just regular dry colouring pencils.
What a mistake that was.
I now see the error of my ways. Watercolour is a really cool medium and I'm almost embarrassed at how long it took me to give it a fair try. I blame the fact that everyone keeps saying how got dang hard it is.
But it's not hard. You just don't like minor unpredictability. And it's turning people off from trying a really pretty medium. Stop it.
Anyways, samurai are a really appealing aesthetic to me and I've been on a Japan kick lately, so I guess I just had to draw one for my first attempt at watercolour. Pretty happy with how it all came out, all things considered.
