Background/History
Part of the second generation of aliens born since the end of the Praetor-Xeno War, Vedo grew up in a small colony (Located in Nevada, USA) which consisted of several landing ships that had since been converted into shelter. Named 'New Caesarus' after their former home planet.
At the age of eight he was considered an adult in Caesan culture, as such he was no longer cared for by his parents and had become independent. Forced to get a job working on the crops the colony thrived on. At the age of ten he became partnered with an older female Caesan named Usaga, who had served during the Praetor-Xeno War and who had just joined the colony.

World/Setting
Eons ago a alien race called the Praetor began subjugating other alien species and created a nameless vast stellar empire. Their conquest of the universe went unopposed... until they arrived on Earth.
On an initial scouting mission of the planet in 1958 a scouting spacecraft was shot down by NATO forces and crash landed in Iceland. In order to prevent the craft from falling into hands of one of Earth's governments the crew detonated the craft, killing both NATO and Soviet troops. The incident would have severe consequences with both Earth's government and the Praetors.
The High Praetors began organizing a fleet to begin to conquest of Earth. Meanwhile both NATO and the USSR came together to form a clandestine organization meant to fight against the inevitable extraterrestrial invasion, The Xenonauts.
21 years later on October 1, 1979 the alien fleet arrived in Earth's orbit, beginning the Praetor-Xeno War. The war lasted only roughly a year ending when the Xenonauts launched a suicidal operation which ended with the death of the High Praetor and the activation of a hyperspace inhibitor, which prevented any alien reinforcements from just jumping to Earth, forcing them to travel for lightyears to arrive.
Upon the death of the High Praetor the remaining alien forces went into a catatonic state. During the war both NATO and the USSR had done all they could to keep the war a secret which they were mostly successful with. The Xenonauts continued on in secret, their existence kept a secret as they awaited for the eventual next fleet to arrive.
Three years later the catatonic aliens reawaken, some attempting to reignite the war with the Xenonauts and others seemingly attempting to settle peacefully in desolate areas. By the mid 1990's a majority of the warring aliens had been killed off, with the remaining peaceful aliens kept under the watchful eye of the Xenonauts.
