Day Four
Wednesday 12; noon
Today was much like yesterday, lined with long searches for pinecones. My stomach was growling so loud that the guys ordered me to go back to the cabin. I did, but basically sat on the floor and swallowed about twenty marshmallows. The guys came back with enough pinecones to cover dinner tonight. I searched the garbage cans outside the other cabins for other sources of food, but didn't find anything except for a lot of hornet stings. Luckily, Mako knew how to treat them.
It was around 5:00 pm when I began to crave the feeling of water on my skin. I hate water and I hate getting wet, but I had promised Tails that I'd got to the pool with him every day. He must have been worried sick about me. I tried to ignore the though as I ate my pinecone dinner. It was after that I got sick and threw up everything I'd eaten that day, including the marshmallows. Derek and Duke had to carry me back to the cabin. I don't remember much after that so. . .whatevs.
That night, I had one of the most horrid nightmares of my life. I was walking through camp with Tails, when suddenly, he vanished and Mr. Blondie showed up. He had a whip in his hands and furiously whipped me until I could no longer stand. I could feel my body shrinking until I was nothing but skin and bones. I screamed at my reflection in the floor, my skin melting. I was in a cage and being shown off to millions of shadow children. They reached out to me, saying, "Join us. Join us. We'll take you to a good home." I screamed and swatted at them, yelling, "Leave me alone!" As their hands slid all over me, I screamed so loud, I bolted up in bed and shrieked. I looked around. None of the boys woke up. I gave a sigh of relief; it was just a nightmare. I snuggled into my sleeping bag and went back to sleep.
