I Love Chus
“And Max, the king of all wild things, was lonely and wanted to be where someone loved him best of all.”

“But the wild things cried, “Oh please don’t go - we’ll eat you up - we love you so!”

And Max said, “No!”

The wild things roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible teeth and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws but Max stepped into his private boat and waved goodbye.”

For those who don't know, Maurice Sendak, author and illustrator of "Where the Wild Things Are" passed away yesterday. That book was something that in many ways still influences my art and my love of fantasy. So, this picture is dedicated to Maurice Sendak and all who loved his story as much as I did.

So, this is my goodbye wave to a great artist, happy in the knowledge that his legacy will live on in me and in the hearts of many others.

All the best and keep dreaming!

"Where The Wild Things Are" was/still is one of me and my mom's favorite kid books, Maurice Sendak was a great artist and author, me and mom will miss Maurice Sendak and he will always live on in our hearts and also my mom did a dedication/tribute drawing/picture to Maurice Sendak and his book Where The Wild Things Are too, my mom drew one of the wild thing monsters sadly waving goodbye and in a text bubble she had the wild thing monster saying: "good bye Maurice Sendak, you will be missed"
