Jinkies!  The texture of the paper would make an excellent texture for a knitted sweater.

Yes it's painted on canvas-I usually paint on watercolor paper

To be honest, I don't think it looks bad.  And your fashion does tend to be among my favorites.  Also, I taught myself to knit and crochet in real life, so I'm somewhat familiar to their textures.

This is the first time I have painted on canvas-I think the water color is much easier and smoother to paint on. Also I'm trying to teach myself digital art but I think I will always prefer traditional

I know what you mean.  I draw and ink my stuff out by hand before scanning it in for cleanup and coloring.  It just feels more immediate and hands-on than using a mouse or tablet, although this could just be me being unpracticed in digital drawing.
