Her: Looking for a man who is anti-LGBT
Me: Using LGBT rhetoric against the movement

Both of us: Going away thinking we'd just found another incompatible person. Hey, at least we can both have a good laugh about this in Heaven, right? Preferably with as many of our ex-gay and de-trans friends as possible!

I think her name is Baabara and she's appeared in one of my political comics since this.

My brain doesn't understand any of this, but the characters look nice

The idea is they both look at/talk to each other and use LGBT Activism buzzwords to try to filter out incompatible mates (both actively wanting to date someone, shall we say, conservative) but mistake each others' actions and appearances for the opposite of what they're looking for. Tragic irony that they might've been a compatible couple but had a massive miscommunication and never meet again.

We can presume they both eventually wound up finding someone else with whom they were better able to communicate.
