I don't really remember why I didn't put this here in the first place. Maybe I was concerned about opsec, or maybe I was unhappy with the quality. Hearing it again, it ain't bad - I'd redo the effects for the last section if I cared about polishing old files.
This site just runs so damn smooth, I might upload more of my old stuff for storage.
Anyway, about the track. It's all cat samples with various effects put on them. The intention was to detail the various stages of a curse I made up, called Nekopotence (I turned catladies into a tragic villain archetype). There are four stages, presented in order by symptom.
Stage 1 Nekopotence just makes cats attracted to you. The effect is compulsive for the cat, but not a wide range so you won't be drowning in cats so much as creeped out by kitty parties.
Stage 2 Nekopotence lets you command cats via one-way telepathic link. They cannot disobey unless given an impossible task. The attraction effect does increase, but you won't even notice because you're playing with new minions.
Stage 3 Nekopotence gives you kinetic control over feline flesh; you can force them to do impossible things if you will it hard enough and don't mind killing the cat. The telepathic link can't close anymore and it's now two-way with all cats in range.
Stage 4 Nekopotence is the same as 3, but reversed, basically. It gets hard to notice when you have a few hundred cats babbling in your head 24/7 and you're trying to parse which set of visual data matches which body and you start to forget how hands work. Stage 3 is still in effect, so now the cats have control of your kinesis and sensory network. The Nekopotent's point of view will be that they've uploaded a copy of their mind into every affected cat, and used each of those cats as a new epicenter. The need for your original body is no longer a factor in your life because every cat is your body now.
