2 amazing women more for Women’s day! I have loved both of these women ever since that day in 90′s when I saw them for the first time. They both are very special to me in a way.

Also, fun fact what I noticed only NOW when I was drawing Nei’sha. Yeah, her name! There’s NEI in her name! I had forgot her name completely when I came with my up with my username, Nei-Ning.

My name comes from one man which has two names. Gan Nei or Kan Nei in Japanese and Gan Ning in English. So I was super happily surprised about HER name! Plus I remember how I ALWAYS was so drawn to her! I sat on the floor, just staring at her. I loved and adored her so much as a little girl and still do as an adult woman. Plus she’s super beautiful!

And then Mezcaal. Damn, she’s also a woman who I adore and admire. Loving and caring, but also kicks ass. You don’t mess with her. I’m sure she gives fair warnings before she steps in and kicks you out (like she did with the men who fought in her bar). On top of it, she’s Raphael’s wife and I could NEVER ask a better wife for him! They are clearly very much in love and their relationship works so well too :) A life goal to myself as well (whenever I end up in a relationship / marriage).

These two are more rare. People usually know Ninjara the best (Raphael's ex-girlfriend) but Mezcaal and Nei'sha are, maybe, not so well known. Sad thing is that Nei'sha appears only in like 1 or 2 comics, having very sad end right at the beginning since she got shot by a hunter.

Nei'sha appears in comics 67 and then later, at her funeral, in 69. Tho her hair color is different in comic 69.
Also one thing what I really dislike is Nei'sha's husband, Mokoshan. Like... His wife just DIED and he's instantly after Ninjara - and she just goes with him, leaving Raphael. That just... huge no to me in my book. And while I understand that Ninjara got shot and is injured / weak, she (in these comics) appears way too "Oh, poor weak me" kind of a woman when she, in previous comics, has been very much of an ass kicker.

Sorry for rant and spoilers. I couldn't help myself :'D

I'm glad I could offer some new females to you / in this fandom :D We oldies are the ones who know these two. I wish that younger TMNT fans would read, at least, TMNT Adventures comics. They are legends and so good! :D

Yes, officially Raphael is the only one of the boys who ever has gotten married. And he got a very good wife! Mezcaal is definitely someone who Raphael has needed in his life.

But one thing I have never understand. That almost in every incarnation of TMNT Raphael has been made to be some sort of ladies man, always having a woman / love interest. I don't say it's a bad thing, but it happens in every other incarnation (what I know) except in 2003 series. In that show none of the boys had any love interest - and for that I was very happy! Finally a TMNT incarnation which didn't force or focus on turtles having love interest / relationship etc. Only relationship in 2003 series was Casey and April. It feels like people / TMNT makers just wants to shove turtles x someone love stuff down in our throats. And to me that is huge no.

She appears in comics 62, 64, 65 and 66.
Then Nei'sha appears in comics 67 and then later in 69, even that her hair color is different in later comic :'D

Yeah, they really push it to give the turtles love interest:'D Especial they really push Mona and Raph and forget about this?!! He had a wife and still everything in the incarnation Mona and Raph. And this one of the reasons why 2003 is perfect, It's still different from the Mirage comic but I say still it's the closest to it. And yes, Casey and April relationship it's not really bothering the water they didn't make as the main storyline which is good :3
However, if they not put the love interest and make it more serious the tmnt 2012 version then I would say that would be another masterpiece. Because mainly following the prime story and it has some interesting future episodes but still..not the best...

So yeah, definitely going read it x3

Well, I don't know how familiar people at Nickelodeon are about these comics. I think they have ignored this comic series just like they are ignoring 2003 series. To them 2003 doesn't exist. Which is simply stupid! They refuse to make us figures and other mercs just because they don't like 2003 themselves. They completely ignore us older fans who love that series and grew up with 2003 turtles. They totally ignore it there's people who would PAY / give them money for having 2003 TMNT stuff, but no. Nick focuses only on 1987 and 2012 TMNT series. Perhaps because they are most "kid friendly"...

Nei'sha... Such a beautiful and soulful Wolf woman and also Mokoshan's mate.

Alas sadly her life was cut short at the start of TMNT Adventures #67 and was shot to death by a hunter... It sucks for Mokoshan...

And i assume it was the same hunter that ended him as well in the Furrlough comic. Nobody knows who ended the Alpha wolf couple...

Mezcaal is okay kinda for a wife in Greenhouse Bad future Raph but barely holds a candle to Ninjara in my Opinion.

She was, indeed, beautiful. It sucks we didn't see more of her in the comics. At least I would had loved to know so much more about her.

I have never read or even heard about Furrlough comics. After all I'm not all that big fan of comics, but TMNT Adventures I always have loved.

To me Mezcaal is way, WAY, better than Ninjara ever was. She is much more mature than Ninjara (not to mention spiritual, not religious, as well) and she clicks with Raphael a lot better than Ninjara did (that is if a person can read / sense characters energies).

On top of it, Ninjara was very nasty at the end towards Raph. She was at Mokoshan's thinking Mokoshan etc. while Raphael was out there to put his life in danger to find and rescue her. Not to mention she instantly fell in love with Mokoshan when she saw him. And Mokoshan wasn't any better to be honest. His wife just had been shot and he was ALREADY hunting a new woman to himself. In my eyes that is very shitty / dishonorable thing to do.

Yeah i know. It was Dishonorable at best at the end which left me very sad and left me Obsessed with Ninjara since then.

Especially at the part she was shot, My Adrenaline spiked when it happened, Regardless i wanted her back bad, and her to Leaving Raph over someone we don't know and just leave her just like that with our Broken hearts coming to Sewer HQ? It was total Bogus. Mokoshan ruined everything and stole her and heres more to it.

Okay There is the Furrlough comic if she stayed with Mokoshan and they even had a Child, A Daughter named Moka and Mokoshan was killed offscreen by the same hunter i assumed that ended Nei'sha.

I'll note you all about it!
