Cover of a comic I'm cooking.

Rule 63 of that old show "The ant and the Aardvark"?
Not really, allow me to explain:
In Germany, They gave the aardvark a voice actress with a sassy voice and was canonically female.

Oh, this cartoon was a part of the Pink Panther cartoon show back in the 1960s or early '70s.

As I recall, the Aardvark in the English version was sort of a borscht-belt yiddish character, so probably not a bad alternate take? It's not like they were violating some sort of unique vision anyway.

He was. I looked up the IMDB, and he was voiced by John Byner who had a wide-ranging career. Strangely, he was the voice of Gurgi in The Black Cauldron. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0125956/?ref_=tt_cl_t1

Man, I haven't thought of these two in thirty years. I watched the originals as reruns as a kid.

This used to get mixed in with Pink Panther shorts, didn't it?  Man, this takes me way back.

Yeah.  The Ant and the Aardvark cartoons were a part of the Pink Panther show in the late '60s or early '70s.

That's an interesting bit of information about the German version of the cartoon.  I understand that in Germany, Renamon was giving a male voice but, here in the US, Renamon was voiced by a female.
