I thought that anime was a fuckin fever dream. I saw a bit of it when I was super young and I just remembered some dude on skates with a bat but no one knew what I was talking about

Just watched it. I figured that's what they were doing but I cannot read Japanese. It's oddly wholesome, funny despite the tone at certain parts. Like the part my brain remembered where they were gleefully chasing after a serial killer. And the wonderful funderful mind fuck at the end. I'd like to thank you for re-introducing this wonderfully strange acid trip to me. Absolutely gonna binge it

Yeah, try to find a subtitled version... I got the Dvd-set and watched the series several times. It all culminates to an impressive finale, when the big theme of the different stories becomes clear. One of Satoshi Kons best works.

While the fish dude's dedication is admirable I fear this is only gonna cause more trouble for poor Muko. It won't be an issue for Shun to twist this around as "Muko's lackey attacks an innocent person" story.

A double perspective chapter that focuses on Kalita and Miho. Both live double lives, but do so in different ways. Kalita is always true to herself as a biker, brawler, and high school student. Miho is two-faced, hiding her true personality (intelligence, nasty side) to achieve her goals and then shows her true ugly side once she gets what she wanted. The first half focuses on Kalita remembering the origins of the Roda Kira Gang and worrying about her future now that she no longer has it as a support system. She has her new Combagal career, but it's an uncertain path for her. It's kind of saddening to see how the Roda Kira Gang started as an idealistic gang of bikers who wanted to leave their mark on the world to a gang of criminals after Gantus took over. Watching Layline be a tough fighter with a six pack capable of fighting Kalita to the toy of Gantus is depressing. I like the meaningful name of the gang and that it was Kalita who came up with it. I can see why the Roda Kira Gang was important to Kalita now as she had no direction and everybody made fun of her for having drug addict parents. They were the family she had left and she lost it. In the other half, we see Miho at her new Spotter job, getting a glimpse of her personality. She's very rude and disrespectful to everyone around her, based on how she sprays Dings around and insults him. Mr. Dings. is one of those background characters you think were unimportant but were more relevant than expected. I kind of had a feeling about him as he was the only odd face in the first fight between Muko and Kalita, which was followed by a Spotter article that was very detailed. From the looks of it, Mr. Dings has reservations about doing this defamation campaign. I am happy to know the raccoon didn't betray Kalita and vouched for her defense. I must say, the ending took me by surprise. Never expected Harry "Fish Face" to go Lil' Slugger on Miho. He started showing signs when he read the hate comments about Muko at the Internet, but he shows now that he meant business by going after Miho. The last page was scary. Did he kill Miho or badly injured her? How is this going to affect Muko? We can only find out by waiting until the next chapter.

not telling the whole truth IS a lie, "lie of omission," there's a god damn term for it! Also I kind of cracked when I saw Little Freaking Slugger pop into this universe
