Q&A
A Test of Frienship
This was just a fun story I wrote up for the picture.  Think of it as an alternative universe ;3

Sierra crept along the corridor, all her senses on high alert.  With practiced ease she slunk along in the darkness, searching.  It couldn’t be a mistake could it?  Ever since she and her Master had arrived on the planet, she could have sworn she had sensed a achingly familiar presence.  She hadn’t been able to tell her master yet before the fighting had stated though.  Maybe she should have found the time?
Whatever she SHOULD have done it was over now.  Separated from her master in the enemy’s territory all she could think to do was try to gather intel.  …and try to find the source of the seemingly familiar presence.
She had traced it to this abandoned building.  The moment she had entered though it seemed to have vanished.  All her senses were screaming that this was clearly a trap.  But… how could it be set so perfectly FOR HER?  Shaking off the nagging thought she pushed on, doing her best to conceal her own self.
It happened in a flash.  A sudden blinding red light, a burning heat and the hum of a lightsaber activating and slashing.  Had she not been on full alert she knew she’d be dead.  She barely had the time to recognize the sudden reappearance of the presence before the second attack happened.  The harsh light off the red saber moved in a whirlwind of movement, she had only just brought her own out to block the flurry before a force push slams into her.
Her breath explodes out of her lungs leaving her lungs screaming for breath.  The sudden sound of footfalls though tells her her assailant is rushing in to try to finish her off.  Fighting for breath she makes a sudden savage swing at foot level cutting her attackers assault short, forcing them to jump.  Taking the opening she just made she bolts down the hallway, searching for a better place to make a stand.
The pounding of feet behind her tells her her would-be killer wasn’t giving up their prey so easily.  Casting her senses out as she runs, she searches desperately for a way out of this hallway.  A dull red light is soon seen ahead, putting on an extra boost of speed she sprints for the exit.
Passing the threshold to what looks like a landing platform she darts to one side and raises her saber to strike down on her assain the moment they pass by.  A flash of brown and black appears from the door and in a blur her light saber slashes down striking the concrete floor where the attacker had stood a split second before.
Feeling her lightsaber miss its mark she instantly brings it up in block motion, just as the red lightsaber slashes down.  A crackle and blaze of heat from the two weapons striking each other wash over her face for a second before the attacker jumps back and takes up an aggressive posture.  It was in this moment she finally could see who had been trying to kill her.
The attacker looked to be a feline of her own age and breed.  She was about a head taller and wore black leather with a cape.  Her arms were partially bare around the elbows and her gloves had sharp claw like edges to them as if to aid her in a fight should her saber be lost.  Her face though could not be seen as she stood in a shadow of the surrounding buildings.
Sierra stayed in the best defensive posture she knew, waiting for the next blow.  To her surprise though the other feline stood up taller and deactivated the sabre and took a relaxed posture.  The harsh atmosphere bathed the world around them in red, making it hard for her to really see the others face making it impossible to really gage the others expressions.
“That all you got Sierra?  I’d have thought you’d have learned to do more than just run, jump and COWER”.  Comes a scathing, familiar voice.
“Da-…Kody!?”  breaths out Sierra in disbelief.
The other feline took calm step forward closer letting the natural lighting wash over her, giving her as clear of a view of her face as possible.  There could be no doubt though.  She couldn’t be anyone else.  As she stares in shock Kody smirks and suddenly charges forward, her saber on in a blink of an eye and just as quickly as it started the fight was on again.
The two dodged and traded blows, Sierra’s though were more defensive and her attacks on Kody where halfhearted at best.  Kody though showed no such restraint.  Each swing, step and jump where all cold and calculated.  Sierra’s blood ran cold as she realized Kody was trying her best to kill her.  In a bid to gain a moment of respite she shouts and uses an area force push, taking Kody by surprise and knocking her backwards and off balance.
Kody quickly recovers, but instead of beginning anew she straightens up and laughs coldly.
“What’s the matter Sierra?  I thought you wanted to be a great Jedi master some day?  If you keep fighting so halfheartedly… you’ll die.”
Sierra breathed heavily as she holds her saber aloft and pointed at her former friend.  She knew Kody was right.  She was clearly having no such issues with fighting someone she loved, and respected so much.  She couldn’t do it though...  she had so many questions.
Kody’s lightsaber suddenly hums to life and she takes up a stance, clearly about to attack before Sierra finally finds her voice.
“STOP!”
She felt really dumb saying that…  But she couldn’t really think of anyting else in the moment.  Strangly though… it worked.  Kody, seemingly shocked too, holds off on her attack.  Snorting she turns off the saber and crosses her arms and looks at her cooly, waiting to hear her out.
“What…. WHAT HAPPENED?    I-I thought you where-!”
She doesn’t get to finish her sentence before Kody interrupts, “Dead?  Yeah, well, I can see why you might think that.  But no.  Clearly I’m not dead!”  She says derisively, holding her arms out expansively.
“K-Kody!”
Kody cuts her off again.  “I am NOT Kody.  The friend you knew is dead.  I am now Darth Tuzak.  And before you ask, NO.  I WILL NOT go back.  I chose my side.  And I don’t NEED to explain myself to you.  All I have to show you is my conviction.”  As she says this, she activates her lightsaber and gets into position again.  “And its time you showed YOURS.”  She says with a growl.
“B-but we where friends!”  She tries to plea.  “I LOVED y-!”
“ENOUGH!”  Screams Tuzak.  Anger on her face as she throws her hand forward, sending a wave of energy at Sierra.  Jumping aside she avoids the attack barely as Tuzak peruses her.
“WE WERE JUST PADOANS!  THAT’S IT!  NOW FIGHT ME!”  Yowls Tuzak.
Sierra’s expression hardened as she had to accept the facts.  Kody was no more, and in her place was a dangerous Sith that needed to be dealt with.  No matter what, she had to kill Tuzak.  And maybe… if she did… Kody would come back in the end.
