"Climate change" had been used for more than 70 years and scientists continue to use "Global warming" still. It was the conservative politicians the ones that pressed for the change of wording in the popular press during the last Bush administration because it was less "scary".
man i love reading these and i agree with most of what you say here the only thing i kinda disagree with is that we dont know what the temperatures were like in the past this is mostly untrue we actually have a good baseline for how global temps have been for the past few million years or at least since the dinosaurs kicked it due to ice core samples taken from antarctic ice shelves
