It's now February and #JanCHUary has come to a close, returning our once malleable mouse back to his doughy dinosaur shape. However, not even 24 hours later and it seems that Doughshi has gotten himself into another mess! Although this isn't his first time inside a cramped space, it might just be the first with LightTEC locking jars, and somehow he's gotten himself stuck in one. It's bad enough to be shoved inside a glass container and have a lid screwed on over you, now there's ones with locking mechanisms! Was Doughshi misbehaving? Sticking his nose in places he shouldn't be putting them? Maybe he was willingly putting himself in a jar for fun? Probably Mac was looking for a test subject to try them out on... Who knows. He's not getting out of there anytime soon though. Doughshi gets to enjoy being a decoration on the kitchen shelf, among some berries and cookies.
This was a set of sketches that I had actually drawn up back in September but never colored until now, since I have a number of days off coming up; I have to spend them somehow if I'm not working! I was actually really happy with how I drew it too, and using more stylizing to make it look more detailed, such as simple shadow effects. It's not every day that I make a full scene like this one, even if almost the entire thing was made up on the spot while I was coloring the main sketch. So no, the wood shelf is not my doing, that was a texture I had searched up.
More importantly, the cityscape in the window was also not my doing. I've been longing to put time into some sort of visual of Aunov and its futuristic landscape, but I don't feel my artistic abilities allow me to get what I want yet, so I also searched for something to add in, and I would not have done so without crediting the original artist of this picture, but the website that I found this image on doesn't link back to the artist, so whoever it is that made this beautiful city, I would like to give credit where it's due. I believe the signature on the original background says Adam Varga.
