The Beach Bears is a fictional band that started on a day like today but 10 years ago (February 13, 2011), which members are Birch, Dipper and Stargazer.
I started to follow both their music and their story (which anyone can listen through their Furaffinity account: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/maxgoof/ ) and I got really into the characters. I discovered the existence of this project thanks to a commission that I accepted where I illustrated Dipper in the song "In My Room" in 2015, and I had the opportunity to be friends with the creator of such a wonderful project.@MaxDeGroot
I really love listening to The Beach Bears and thinking that they are a real band, and that sometimes I have even traveled to see them live. I like to imagine that they are part of my own universe.
I wanted to do something very special to commemorate 10 years of The Beach Bears, and what better than a compilation album of their greatest hits or, rather said, of the songs that I personally like the most, songs that I grew up with in their original versions but it is a pleasure to imagine that now these three charismatic bears are the ones who sing them (And sometimes I joke when saying that they are the original interpreters and that the other artists were the ones who covered them)

Okay here's my critical review. ๐ค this review is only instrumental and vocal, leaving out the lyrics. ๐
the introduction to the album brings a very homely feeling as if the album was just a silly joke between friends. It’s not bad in the context of the album but it gave me a very low expectation about the next songs. ๐ค
So moving on to the second song I was surprised by the difference in quality ๐ and it made me question the choice of the first song for the album's introduction.
The third song is cute and the character's voice is well acted. I imagine it can be quite difficult to sing and maintain the character at the same time and he does it very well in this one.
So again I was surprised to hear the fourth song with a good vocal and instrumental quality and very harmonious ๐ฎ and had the conclusion that the first song on the album was not a good choice to introduce new people to this album like me. ๐
the fifth song is ok, but the background music seems to have a personality problem trying to find the style of music here. In the end it is not so bad just confused the first time. ๐ค
The sixth song shows once again how voices work very well together with excellent background music. I choose this song for the opening of the album. one of the best so far. ๐
Song 7 brings a calmer melody than the others so far with good music and a more serious voice among bears. ๐ง
Song 8 is one of the best made on this album and the vocal is very well balanced here. And I have to say, this voice is very similar to the voice of "Jonathan Higgs". Take a look ๐: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wo9htBgju58&list=PLfu...
Song 9 brings something more emotional to the album with very complete instruments, even for a simple and calm melody, and I really liked this one.
Song 10 .... I don't know what to feel about this one ๐ I don't think I can feel the same love that the bear is feeling in this one but good melody.
Song 11 is very interesting and very well sung. I feel like the music is a good choice for this voice, using all the limits of this one. good music!
Song 12 I feel a good passion in the voice with the music in this one, well balanced as in the previous song.
Song 13 could not be different, excellent melody and with more than 1 voice at the same time. And a very professional care to the music to ๐
Song 14 shows the best of your voice again, a melody that i could hear over and over again. โค๏ธ
Song 15 starts with this different and calm voice and I wonder if it ended up going unnoticed by me in the previous songs.๐ค Very calm and relaxing melody.
Song 16 I feel that brings an interesting and calm side of the album that I didn't expect. a voice that shows more experience in life among bears. ๐บ Another beautiful and relaxing song for the audience.
Song 17 I'm not a big fan of this one so I'm going to leave the review to someone else.๐
Song 18 is a beautiful cover with the right voice. Over the Rainbow it's an easy song to sing ( maybe? ) and I think and it brought a good choice for this album. ๐
Song 19 already prepares the farewell to the album with this emotional and loving melody with a good fit in this bear's voice.๐
And here we are on the last song closing with this cute farewell to the bears, a very loving and well-designed song to close the album and it will certainly remain in the memory of those who have come this far. ๐ฅฒ ๐๐๐งก
Thanks for this experience and for an idea among friends this album fared much more than I expected! ๐๐ I hope that many other people can feel the same about this passionate work. I wish the bears much happiness and success. ๐ป

determined the order, and I suspect the first one was placed there because most of these songs come from an ongoing story. That song was supposedly the very first song they recorded as a group.
Wow...that was a thorough review! Thank you. pandapaco ( https://inkbunny.net/pandapaco ) determi
I chose Barbara Ann for the first track because I thought it was very fitting for the album to show the chronology and evolution of the band. Barbara Ann was the first song of The Beach Bears as a band in the story and I thought it was going to be a great way to open the album. It is true that is not the right one for new listeners, but I guess the same would have happened to The Beach Boys, that is amazing the fact that Barbara Ann and Sloop John B. are from the same band.
Thanks a lot for the review of the album, I don't know why I thank if it is not about my music, I just did the art and I'm just a fan, but I feel grateful someone took the time to listen and review the album thanks to my art. I'm so glad that The Beach Bears have know more listeners now thanks to this series of posts.
I agree that "You're So Good To Me" are one of the bests! :D
