I made a thumbnail drawing of Dr. Rosethorn. I used my tablet to sketch it out, Illustrator to ink it, and then Photoshop to put some finishing touches on it. I tried to keep it simple.
Alias: Dr. Rosethorn
Name: Dr. Rose Mary Thorton
Background: Dr. Rosethorn has shapeshifting abilities, regenerative abilities, enhanced strength, and faster reflexes. She is part plant and part elasticl. It allows her become almost rubbery and smooth, or as dense as thick bark. Gunshots and cleaving her, can wound her, but she can regenerate most injuries. She's able to change her appearance, both physically, and her form.
Her fighting style is up close and personal, using sharp branch-like claws, and various forms of hand to hand combat. The latter she is still learning since before her transformation, she was a biogeneticist. She has a particular aversion towards fire, which can hurt her the most.
Her general motivation is to her research and having fun. She'll lounge about reading research articles and papers, or write her own, and generally hang around with her closest friends. When she does work, she gets focused and can spend a lot of time in the lab until she quits in frustration or reaches her goal. Then she's off to relax to blow some steam, or unwind with her friends.
I've played her on City of Heroes and DCUO as villainesses, not because she's evil, but because she a go betweener. She'll do bad things for the right reasons. Her morale compass focuses more on herself and her friends, than the general broader laws. So she'll break them if she thinks she has a good reason.
