A bit long but basically it was on a sub, and once those are underway re-supplies are few and far between since they require the sub to break silence/submergence to receive. As well sometimes you get what are called "riders" people who aren't part of the command but are on the boat for various reasons.
Anyways one of the subs was underway and kept getting extended but not resupplied. It got to the point where just about the only thing available to eat was peanut butter sandwiches. One night one of the riders sat down across from some of the crew and proceeded to scoop out roughly 3/4 of a jar of peanut butter onto their bread, emptying the jar. One of the crew members at the table then grabbed up one of the knives and stabbed him in the hand.

My big dislikes are onions and spicy foods. There are only three ways I can eat onions and not get sick, in authentic Japanese fried rice, in hushpuppies, and in Japanese mixed vegetables and don't even try to tempt me with anything spicier than black pepper. LOL
