Character Sheet for Rayco Cavanagh
Nickname(s)
Ray
Sex/Gender
male
Species
platypus
Age
mid-twenties
Character Description
Ray is a mutant platypus, able to control all things organic, including his own body. He uses this skill to fight crime and play pranks on his friends.
Personality
Cheerful, playful. Since he pretty much has no organic needs, neither does he have a worry in the world.
Likes/Dislikes
Loves the sun, women, food. Isn't fond of those alien species he doesn't have power upon. Doesn't like working.
Background/History
A freak accident at Polis Prima's Bioenergy plant infused Rayco's body with so much unstable energy he now can alter all things organic at will. One of his favorite tricks is morphing into the Howler, a horrible beast he uses to scare and fight criminals and feed the legends of a lengendary rapist monster that lives in the park's grove.
Relatives/Family
Main f*ck buddy: Verónica Falcata.
No other close relatives known.
World/Setting
Rayco is one of the highest ranked city security agents of Polis Prima. He's valued for his ability to either brain-hack criminals into regretful civilians or recycle them into organic food paste.
Body
Rayco: a purple platypus. Duck bill, flipper, claws, etc.
Howler: 10 feet tall monster with horns, tentacles, claws, and pretty much anything he can think of; his appearance may vary with each encounter.
Clothing
Any t-shirt. Since they're made of an organic material, he can regrow them in case they get torn apart.

Hey, look, it's Sunday. I better radically redesign my characters once again.

So here's the new Rayco and his beastly alter-ego, the Howler. I didn't want to have two dogs of the same breed around, so now he's a Canarian purple platypus because that makes a whole lot of sense.

Wait, brain-hacking or foodpaste? o.O
THAT sorta crosses into anti-hero territory, doesn't it?

None of my heroes are saints. A working society requires sacrifices.

But is it good to apply economics and the "easiest hard solution" to a problem like crime? To put another way, what gives one the power to turn someone into someone else, or make food out of them? Is there no other means, and if there are, why are they avoided?

I know, philosophy over a cartoon, but still, I am curious how this works, and why it works, so hopefully, you're not offended by my questions....

Not at all, what good are ideologies if not discussed? The brain-hacking usually just involves forcing the criminal to understand why what he's done is bad, often by showing them how their victims feel. If such hacking doesn't work, said person is deemed unfitting for civilization and is therefore disposed of. Not by making him food, per se. By feeding him to the processors that produce energy out of organic matter.

Ah. Enforcing empathy. Seems very, very nice--certainly better than what I thought it was, at first. Personally, I believe that people that are naturally dangerous to civilization can be some of its greatest assets. In the past, that sort of inhumanity was harnessed in arenas, for example. But, making energy of them is certainly better than wasting gas, rope, or electricity on them.
