~ Rushing in to take down his opponents, not caring as much to his own well being, Ion had a mentality that caused him to be injured a lot. After getting hospitalized many times due to varying degrees of injuries, he was eventually labeled as a Reckless Hunter and placed under the direction of a high ranking Hunter named Narche. Under her strict guidance and caring mentorship, Ion was able to fully develop his potential, shredding the label of Reckless and become a high ranking Hunter in his own right. Though Narche did help Ion get rid of his reckless ways, she still taught him that is was ok to be a little reckless if certain conditions were met and techniques the would allow him to do so, it was something that was between mentor and student, away from the watchful eyes of the Contract Hunter's Council. This made Ion able to still have his own fun while out on a Hunt, while being almost untouchable, a powerful force that was hard to deny ~
I really love how this pose came out, it reminded me of DevilMayCry 3 Dante (which was not the inspiration, it just sort of happened) and even though Ion's and Dante's personalities are very different, it reminded me of the more immature and recklessness of both their younger years and their growth to a more mature (well sort of) "Hunter" and them becoming an unstoppable force as the years go by

Hum...i would have say that Ion would have reminded me more of Nero in DMC4 than dante...hum...or not...Dante in DMC 3 is a good incarnation of recklessness too...since he let Lady shoot him in the head or something close....XD

I said the pose reminded me of Dante from DMC3 (yes I get Ion is more akin to Nero, in more ways then one with the arm and all, which is why he was my favorite to play in DMC5) but also the story of growing Dante kind of goes on in DMC3 has some relation to Ion's story as well, which is also why I did say their personalities are far different but when I see Ion in this pose, I do kind of see DMC3 Dante

That is not Dante's optional outfit in DMC3, that is his normal one, when you beat DMC3 you get the option to change his outfit to look like DMC1 Dante as like I said, in the story of DMC3 Dante grows into the Dante we know from the first game and unlocking that outfit at the end is one of the signals of that (as well as a few other things)
