heh I literally just started watching Star Gate for the first time about a week ago. I have seen 3 or 4 episodes so far. :P I saw the movie before the show though. Kind of wish I saw this stuff back then.

I missed out on a lot of things in my bookworm days. Wasn't until after college I got around to Firefly. Obsessed over that for a while. Still go nuts and need to rewatch it from time to time. :P

Books are better than tv/movies. Read Space Odyssey 2010 and then watch the movie. The movie will disappoint you in comparison to the book though it was a good movie.

The nearest exception to that rule I have ever found was the Princess Bride. The only big complaints I had was, they took out 2 chapters that explains the backstory of Fezzik and Inigo. It would have been great having those two chapters. Otherwise, it's damn faithful to the book. The book didn't actually have one of my favorite lines. When running into the fires swamp, "We'll never survive!" "Nonsense! You're only saying that cause no one ever has!"

Also, you know you're talking to 'me' right? :P Obviously I preach the same message about books. *points at her book shelf* :3
