Backstory: She was born in Robotropolis before the nuclear disaster, as the event took place, she escaped with her younger brother, Phoenix, to the Knothole Village with the Freedom Fighters. Bailene stuck with them for a few years, working as a marksman to help thwart Eggman's plans, Eggman took note of her superior sniping abilities & offered her a chance to fight side by side with him as his lead mercenary. Bailene was tempted but turned down his offer in fear of her brother finding out. As more years went by, Eggman's offer became more irresistible as Bailene realized she only did good just to get a reward out of it, not for the good of the people or those she cared for. One night, she stole a small fighter jet from the Knothole, packed her belongings & left the city in search of a more favorable career for herself; leaving only a full page confession/letter of her true intentions to Phoenix.
Once outside of the Knothole, she traveled to many different parts of Mobius, trying to settle on a place to call her new home. While stopping in Downunda, she eavesdropped on a conversation between Nack the weasel & a member of the Mercenary group, Destructix, in need of a sniper. Bailene followed Nack to his destination & explained to him that she wanted to be a part of his group. Since she was a former Freedom Fighter, everyone was immediately suspicious of her faithfulness. Bailene slowly gained their trust by being a mole for them; gathering inside information from the Knothole, convincing those there & her own brother that she had changed & wanted to help on secret missions, unbeknownst to them that she was a traitor. Once she was fully established as a member of Destructix, she accompanied them on many missions; helping them with assassination plots of Sonic the hedgehog, the Acorn family, & various Freedom Fighters. Bailene did enjoy her time there, but when Nack left on his own accords, she abandoned the group because she was in love with Nack & wanted to help him with his solo missions & later joined his mercenary group, Team Hooligans. She even assisted Nack with his escape from the Devil's Gulag & his mission to break out all the prisoners.
Relationships:
Nack: She gets along with him fairly easy, but often finds his stubborn & prideful behavior annoying. She would do anything or betray anyone, if it meant making Nack successful, but she does have her limits. Says she's in love with him & wants to have a relationship with him, but tries to keep it professional, despite her strong feelings for Nack. She's said she's unsure if he loves her back, as they often throw flirtatious comments towards one another, but she doesn't know if he really means what he says.
Bean Dynamite: Tries not to interact with him since she does find him incredibly annoying; often tuning him out when she does have to talk to him
Bark the polar bear: Unsure of his personality as he isn't easy to talk with. Bailene only talks to him on missions or if she has to
Phoenix: As his older sister, she loves him dearly & wishes she could go back to see him, but when he found out about her abandonment & betrayal, their relationship faltered & Phoenix rejected her as family. Although, they once had a similar mindset, the two often argue or fight whenever they see each other, only working together as a last resort. Deep down, Bailene loves her brother, but they both know that coming back to the Freedom Fighters for good isn't an option or that her selfish nature would endanger those around her. Their relationship, as of now, is on thin ice & Phoenix doesn't know if his sister will ever regain her morals or if she ever was the sister he grew up with.
Fun Fact: She's the very first OC I ever created when I was 11 years old. Her current design, I think, is waaayyy less edgy than the first one I made
