Character Sheet for Henxin/H3N-X1N
Character Description
The Machine, Henxin, is a robot developed and designed by GUN to be the first fully-aware robot in their agency, as well as the first mechanical agent. Despite being all machine and self-award, Henxin makes the choices and decisions to carry out difficult missions if it means evil is brought to justice and lives are saved.
Personality
Henxin has no emotional connection to anything or anyone, at least not in a traditional sense. He makes logical connections between subjects and what those subjects mean, before assigning roles to them. Such as reasoning out that the groups of scientists and engineers that were responsible for his creation as his parents/creators. This goes beyond that as well, as by looking at various examples he can reason out how, logically, one must feel towards a certain situation. In short, he can react appropriately without feeling the emotion attached to it. Overall though, Henxin is a very inquisitive robot that “enjoys” recording new data that has not been discovered.
Even though he has no emotion, Henxin strictly follows a set of morals that were originally assigned to him before gaining free-will, after which he adopted them as his own rules rather than laws coded into him: He will never surrender, he will never fail, and he will never allow the innocent to come to harm.
Likes/Dislikes
Henxin has an affinity for watching films involving robots, from the post-apocalyptic to the wholesome feel-good movies. When first given free will, he had spent many nights watching varieties of films with robots in them. This is how he became so sure of himself that he would only serve as a defender of the innocent, as a robot uprising would only cause more suffering.
Aside from the option of failure, Henxin dislikes other robots that choose to harm others with their free will, rather than choosing to explore life with their newfound control. He believes that that will only do more harm than any sort of good, as the image of machines will be tarnished and the idea of robots living amongst Möbians, with free-will, will never be accepted.
Background/History
Henxin’s story, compared to the others, has only just begun. Being created only recently as a project of GUN, he is the agency’s second fully autonomous robot, the first being E-123 Omega. Compared to the bulkier machine, Henxin does not feature a seemingly limitless arsenal and learns by itself through similar means that a Möbian would use to educate themselves. Throughout his two months of being made, he has learned a great ordeal. From the elementary to university-level subjects. He is considered a success in GUN’s eyes, being able to pass through written exams in a matter of minutes and set impossible times, compared to Möbian agents, in physical tests and controlled practice missions. On the field, however, due to Henxin’s practical invulnerability to basic modern firearms and explosives, is where he shines truly. He can go where few agents are advised to be at, able to fulfill tasks quickly and efficiently, and able to incapacitate a whole room of hostiles in a matter of moments. Henxin is not created to be the most powerful robot, but rather a safe and effective replacement for a small squad of highly-trained GUN agents. It’s safe to say that he has been more than successful at that.
World/Setting
Henxin was created in an engineering lab in the Westopolis GUN base, living there as part of the force that steps in whenever extreme countermeasures must be taken to snuff out crime. Despite that, due to his robot nature, he is occasionally sent out on missions in hostile environments. Just like the others though, he lives in the same dimension that is an off-shoot of the main Sonic canon.
