Borrowing a move from his 2020 Movie counterpart, Sonic taps into his "Power Gear" form when things get serious during his fights with Robotnik and his forces or if he needs an extra kick, emitting bi-electrical energy. This technique is something Sonic has been learning to master since his childhood. It also serves as a similar purpose to how SatAM Sonic uses the Power Rings in the cartoon.
