I created the Dfraktrox when I was a kid, as the regular enemy and villain of the comic. Pinton fought many battles against them and helped other species defend their planets against their invitation.

After all these decades, I thought of resurrecting this old foe for one more battle.
My art has improved slightly since I was 9, but I have kept the design of these baddies almost unchanged.

I thought they should call themselves "The Progression".
Science fiction is full of enemies that call themselves things that convey ideas of conquering and oppressing like "the Empire" or The Dominion". But in reality, nobody thinks of himself as the bad guy.

Real-life dictatorships usually have words like "people's" and "democratic" in their official name despite not being very popular or democratic in practice.

So in the same way, the Dfraktrox see themselves as "helping" and bringing "progress" to the words they conquer.

I'm digging that font in Panel #1. It's like a buffed up child of our old friend Computo Monospace.

Yeah, I think I wanted to capture the retro feeling of lettering you see in 70s and 80s sci-fi movies.
I can put font for download if you want to use it.
