If Palcomix website visiting numbers are falling, its because of the fall of the Palcomix Forum.
The numbers themselves dont lie. Looking over Alexa Site rankings for Palcomix, since the forum went down, there has been a dramatic drop in site traffic to Palcomix. It is a pattern showing that it is slowly dropping to Zero if it continues. In fact according to Alexa Ranking, There has been days which PalComics has had Zero page views! This is compared too hundreds and on occasion thousands of page views PalComix received before the forum fell.

I'm not pointing to who to blame. But it has been said many times before, if PalComix wants the numbers it once had, it needs to bring back that forum. I offered my services for free to restore that forum and do an analysis of its logs to find out who brought the Palcomix forum down and that offer was refused. I dont believe that in its many years of existence, that there was no backups for the site.

Sorry for dredging up the past, but here is now proof of what happened because of it. Now Palcomix needs to take action now or it will be a dead website in a couple of years and the artists moved on to other sites.

I dont want to carry this into a forum flame. Him taking down the forum is my thorn that angers me. Him not willing to do anything about it and claim that the 'hackers took down the site and its back ups(!)' is having that thorn pushed further in me.

I spoke to him and the other admins of the forum back then I was willing to help in doing some data recovery. He stated then that he was not interested in that help. As I figured, with 10 years of forum life, that it would be a 5gb database size to deal with. For me that's nothing since I have worked with databases for search engines 10 times that size. He refused that help.

BBMBBF is here and on the PalComix Temp forum. He has access to what was said and offered and refuses to accept help or acknowledge it. So I blame him for PalComix' downfall. Saying that I did not email him when there was correspondence on this back then is a moot point. Alexa is one of many sites that tracks the placing of websites and their traffic according to subject. As a webmaster/site owner, he should know about this or have used his own tools that website software have. Checking on his webserver logs would show him this in the least. He should know in the least all this if he is the competent webmaster/site owner that he claims himself to be. Even Microsoft's IIS has such tools one can gather this information with.

I'm not knocking that BBMBBF is a bad artist. But in the administration of PalComix, everything he's doing is wrong. As a webmaster - he should know all of these tools and how to use them. He should have known to keep back ups of back up and not store of them on the webserver for 'hackers' to get access too.

PalComix according to Alexa is in a death spiral dive. What the admins do next will either kill it or bring it back to life. I offered my technical expertise to help but was refused. My offer still stand. Lets see what they do.

Well, even though this is HIS OWN FAULT, it affects us all.
We will have those forums back, one way, or another. I don't think Palcomix.b1.jcink.com is enough, I mean, no yiff is a huge drawback.
Elfen, if you can STILL bring back the old ones, after all this time, I say you just do it. I'm sure money can be raised to recompense you.
If not, then it's time to get serious about new forums.
I'm willing to put up $50 towards a new one, I need everyone else to do the same. Just send the money to a trusted person, like you, Elfen, or Dr.? And buy one from v-bulletin, before this situation gets ANY worse.
