Freydar is stated to have suffered some kind of head injury that seemed to have induced some form of Trauma-induced Labotomy that ended her career... And is following Orders from Shun Gonfano.
This feels like she's being Manipulated by Gonfano to attempt to Sucker the Crew into injuring themselves, as well as Swaying the Public Opinion. Cookie wasn't the best manager, but considering how brutal FFC is on a Basic Level, such injuries should be considered an Occupational Hazard.
One cannot Blame Cookie for the Hazards of an Occupation that in one Chapter, had a Wrestler Beaten to Near-death by one of Gonfano's Wrestlers, yet what Cookie did is considered a Bad thing in Freydar's Mind?!
Yeah, No. Cookie has done bad, but Gonfano has done far worse, manipulating Players into being Violent Thugs and using the Media to sucker Fighters into Brutal one-sided Matches that later result in him suckering the defeated to his "Side".
This was how he Got Cookie to sell off her Fighters, by taking advantage of her Money habits, while also Making Rigged Matches that Cookies' girls couldn't possibly hope to beat, driving the Idea into Cookie that she was a bad manager. The Real villains of the story feels like it's both the Easily Manipulated Public, and Gonfano.

A wise move to not rise to the bait of Freydar... Especially since it seems she has been manipulated to follow Gonfano.
The Trauma is to her head, and it's implied she has some kind of Trauma-Induced Labotomy that caused her to retire, yet while she reacts violently to the Guy who tells her with genuine worry to stand down due to her head trauma, she submits immediately to Gonfano.
This means Gonfano has been the one who is effectively controlling her. She's basically braindamaged, and is acting like an attack dog more than a Fighter.
Sounds a lot like one of those Fighters "Coached" by Gonfano, who half-Murdered an Opposing Wrestler... Seems to be a Trend on Gonfano's "Fighters", violent to just about everyone but Gonfano.
A wise move to not rise to the bait of Freydar... Especially since it seems she has been manipulated
The previous Tendonchi challenges are every bit as over the top as I had hoped they would be.
I think Cookie is making the right choice not to take the bait on the match vs Freydar's mystery team. Which also seems really unfair that no other team has that option to skip the challenges anyway. Even if Cookie's team won vs Freydar it would only make their public image even worse.

That was more dramatic than I expected. It started with a recap of the previous challenges and then Freydar hijacked the show. It's kind of scary how violent she is now after seeing how nice she was in the flashback of the previous chapter. I was also shocked that she's considered the strongest Combagal despite Donkizari still being champion. Her popularity is impressive even after her retirement too. Her challenge is a scary one. If Muko and Kalita lose, Cookie's career is as good as over. Props to Shun standing up to Freydar despite watching her throw someone his same size with one hand. I like Cookie's reaction. She's clearly battling her inner demons, as seen by past Cookie appearing behind her. I also noticed how haunted she looks. It's clear she's feeling haunted by what she did to Freydar, especially now that she saw what she became. Cookie avoiding the fight that Freydar threw is not just character development regarding her shortcuts, but also avoiding a face-to-face with her former client. She's not ready for that. Muko and Kalita show good contrast. Muko is rationally scared of Freydar. Considering that she's willing to fight Kalita and Nyarai, it shows how powerful Freydar truly is if she got scared after watching the video. Kalita is willing to take on the fight. It shows her commitment to become stronger despite her earlier fight with Gantus traumatizing her. Whether they will fight Freydar or not, it depends on future chapters. Shun has a talent to get what he wants so he'll make sure Cookie has Muko and Kalita fights the Combagals Freydar chooses. I am curious to see who will become Muko and Kalita's new trainer.

I don't think Shun is manipulating Freydar. Remember the previous chapter. Freydar only works for Shun as long as he gets rid of Cookie and helps her protect the Fortune Gals. Their interests align by having Shun buy them from Cookie into the Cyclone Crushers. Shun gets his elite trainer and Combagals and Freydar gets revenge on Cookie and a haven for her friends. However, since Cookie is more determined than expected, Freydar is losing patience and Shun needs to resort to emotional manipulation by using her medical diagnosis, desire to protect her friends, and need for revenge to calm her down. I don't think Shun has anything against Cookie. She's an obstacle that he needs to remove in his way to keep Freydar under his employment from what I saw in Chapter 29. If Shun has a grudge against Cookie, we may find out in future chapters.

Cookie had a Hand in it, True, but Shun coached all his Combigals to be Needlessly Brutal, to the point they Borderline kill the Opposing player, or put them into such heavy traction that they have to retire!
I already put a Comment stating my Opinion on Cookie being blamed for an Injury that's considered an Occupational Hazard in FFC. It's the one under Jedader's. It's easy to blame Cookie when you're only looking at one side, but once you put Gonfano's methods into the Equation, you'll quickly realize that Cookie's antics are not even Small Potatoes.
After all, Cookie is NOT the first Coach Gonfano has suckered into a One-sided Ring Massacre, and she sure as Shite isn't the last... Not to mention that Cookie's tale of her being made to effectively sell off her Combigals to Gonfano, isn't the first time it has happened.
Cookie is simply another Tallymark in Gonfano's Twisted "Game"... The only difference is that Cookie is the only one actually standing up and fighting back. In this chapter, we see Gonfano taking advantage of Freydar's blind hatred of Cookie, making himself look like the "Good Guy" and Cookie the "Villain". He's preying on Freydar's Blind anger and Wish to "Protect The Combigals"... Nevermind that means putting the Combigals into Shun Gonfano's paws and having them be Used until they're either Cold Killers who strike on command, Souless Berserkers who ruthlessly beat opposing players into the Mat regardless of Trauma Level, or Gilded Dolls who follow commands of Gonfano. He's implied to have some of the more attractive Combigals under his rule 'used' and paid to keep their traps shut.
Gonfano is NOT a Good Person, and He's using Freydar's Blind Hatred and Naive Desire to manipulate her into keeping himself in the lead... And maintaining his empire of Debauchuery.
And if Freydar succeeds, she'll only find all too late that what she has done is not save the Combigals, but instead, damned them all... And she'll find herself in the exact same position as Cookie had when Cookie realized her mistake at selling out to the likes of Gonfano.

That's a good argument. I don't remember which Combagal crippled Freydar though. I may have to read Chapter 19 again to be sure in the flashback part. That being said, Cookie did mention that Shun is a deal with the devil. I agree on that manner. Think about it, Shun is the equivalent of a yakuza and Combagals are celebrities. What's the main element of a celebrity? Publicity! Being associated with a criminal will destroy your reputation in the long-term regardless of how much it lasted. Even if Shun weren't doing anything illegal, I am sure his Combagals will have their reputations tarnished by his other activities through sheer association. Shun has a talent for showmanship. He knows how to look good in front of others without being hindered by his reputation. That being said, it's implied that his hold on Freydar is not as strong as with the Cyclone Crushers. She attacked him in her first appearance and in this chapter only calmed her down by using doctor's orders and her desire to protect her friends. Even if Freydar agrees to do as he says for now, I can see a future turmoil growing inside the Cyclone Crushers led by her. Also, sorry for late reply. Was a bit busy with home issues.
