Its been over 6 weeks and Sonic has found himself vomiting constantly every morning and sometimes in the evening. He's fainted a few days ago for no reason at all, sleeping longer than usual and had some very weird food cravings. Shadow had no idea what was going on with him, but he wanted to do his best to take care Sonic and make him feel better.
"Hey are done vomiting in there?" Shadow asked though the bathroom door.
Sonic opened the door and was wiping his face with a rag.
"Yeah... I'm alright."
"Are you ok?... what's wrong with you?"
"I think I might know what it is. I read it in a book and it was telling me what the side effects of what women had to go through like what I'm dealing with now."
Sonic explained what he read and the side effects to Shadow and just came out and said;
"Shadow.... I think I'm pregnant."
Shadow looked at Sonic stunned and before Sonic could say anything else to him... Shadow fell to the floor passed out. 20 minutes later, Shadow woke up and saw Sonic sitting right next to him on the couch.
"Hey sleepy head." Sonic said smiling at him
"Wh-what happened?.... Why does my head hurt?" Shadow asked in confusion.
"Well honey... you passed out cause I told you... that I might be... Pregnant."
"R-really?.... Are you serious? I'm gonna be a father"
"<Big smile> Yes. But after you passed out I took a pregnancy test to double check, and it came back positive. Shadow we're gonna be parents."
Knowing that Sonikku was caring his baby put a big smile on Shadows face. He couldn't wait to be a father and give the baby that father son/or daughter bond it rightly needs.
It's been 3 months since Sonic found out he was pregnant. His stomach got alittle bigger and Shadows been doing everything he can to make sure that Sonic was comfortable. One day they were returning home from shopping for groceries, when suddenly there was a knock at the door.
"I wonder who that could be." Sonic said as he was about to go answer it.
"No, you stay and relax, I'll go answer it." Shadow said as went to go see who was at the door.
When Shadow got downstairs, he looked through the window to see who it was and to his surprise it was Sonics friend; Amy, Knuckles and Tails.
'What the hell are they doing here?' Shadow thought to himself before he opened the door.
"H-hey Shadow.... Is Sonic here?" Tails asked nervously
"Yeah he's here, he's upstairs resting."
"Can we go see him?, we'll only be here for a few minutes."
"Sigh.... Alright come on in."
When everyone was inside the house, Shadow had them follow him to the bedroom where Sonic was resting.
"Sonic... Tails, Amy and Knuckles are here to see you. Plus you might want to tell them about us and our unborn baby while you still have a chance." Shadow whispered as he tapped Sonic on the shoulder.
Sonic opened his eyes and knew Shadow was right. He had to tell them the truth about everything, cause he might not get another chance to tell them.
"Hey everyone, what are you doing here?" Sonic asked as he sat up.
"Well first of all... We want to know why you're living here with Shadow? Second, where have you been for the past 3 months?" Knuckles said yelling at him.
"Yeah I wanna know too. I missed you so much Sonic." Amy said as she hugged him so tight he couldn't breath.
When Shadow saw how Sonic was struggling to breath, he pushed Amy off of him. He pushed her so hard, she made a hard impact on the wall.
"DAMN SHADOW... you didn't have to push her that hard!" Sonic yelled out.
"What was I suppose to do, let her squeeze you to death."
"Hmph... Anyway to answer those 2 questions: 1) The reason why I'm living here in Shadows house is because.... well we're in a relationship. Shadow and I are together. 2) The reason you guys haven't seen me the past few months is cause.... Shadow and I are... expecting a baby. In other words I'm pregnant." Sonic explained as he pushed the covers off him showing them his round belly.
Amy, Knuckles, and Tails stood there in complete silence and stunned by Sonics news. Then out of nowhere Amy broke the silence.
"Why Sonic? Why?" Amy said as she started to cry.
"I'm sorry Amy, but I love Shadow and I'm gonna be with him."
Suddenly Amy ran out of the room crying. Knuckles and Tails were left there still in shock.
"Hey guys, I'm sorry for suddenly dropping this on you. I wanted to tell you before but I was scared." Sonic said looking down.
"Sonic its ok, you and I been best friends for years and no matter what choose, you will always be my best friend." Tails said comforting his big brother.
Knuckles nod is agreement to Tails comment.
"Thank you guys, you're the best. Also can you tell Amy I'm sorry."
Tails nodded telling him that he'll pass on the message. Then he and Knuckles left for home. After they left Shadow sat next to his preggy hedgy and wrapped his arm around his shoulder.
"Well... minus the fact the Amy ran outta here crying, that went pretty smoothly.I thought they were gonna be mad at me and not except us being together." Sonic said with a small smile on his face.
"Fortunately they did that tells you that you have good friends that care about you Sonic. As far as Amy goes, I'm sure she's get over it."
"Yeah I know, but I'm really glad to have you in my life Shadow."
"Me too Sonic. Me too"
